Overview of Christofern:

Lloyd and Master Wu stay and talk to Garmadon in Vinny's apartment, and listen to him talk about his journey of becoming good. He introduced them to a plant called Christofern, which Garmadon cared deeply about. But not long later, the apartment was attacked by the Crystal Army, damaging Christofern which caused Garmadon to become so angry and upset, that his Oni form was unleashed. Upon attacking the crystal army, Lloyd and Wu realised that Oni form could be the only way to defeat the Overlord.

The Samurai X Cave:

Aly's POV:

When we arrived back at the Samurai X Cave, we parked up our Vehicles as Pixal had asked. We walked down to the main computer, but on the way I could tell something was up with Zane. Just from looks alone, he didn't seem all that off; he wore a somewhat relaxed expression with normal movements, but I knew something was wrong. I could feel that he wasn't okay.

He was panicking.

"Zane?" I spoke up, walking beside him while catching him off guard. "Are you okay?" I asked him, and he gave me a smile. "Yes, I am fine." He told me, but I knew he wasn't. "Hey. I know somethings up, what's wrong?" I asked him again, and he stopped, looking away.

"Zane?" I reached to hold his hand, but he pulled back. "I...I cannot tell you." "Why?" I wondered, and he was hesitant to tell me. "I just..."

"Aly!"

I turned back to the computer, and saw Cole walking over. I noticed Kai gestured for me to come over to him, without saying why. I didn't want to push Zane, he really didn't seem okay, and if it was so bad he couldn't tell me then I really didn't want to force it out of him. I looked back to him, and saw tears falling from his eyes.

Why was he so upset all of a sudden? He was fine earlier.

Cole gave Zane a look, making him nod and walk away. Then he addressed me. "Kai and Jay can explain it better." "Explain what?" I asked, slightly annoyed. "Just...they'll explain." Cole told me, and I took his word for it.

I watched Zane walk away with Cole before turning away from them, walking over to Kai and Jay who looked worried. "What's going on?" I asked them, wanting to know what was up with Zane that he couldn't tell me himself. The two boys exchanged looks, unsure. "Aly...earlier, when we were telling you about the Tournament, we didn't tell you everything." Jay admitted, and that much I knew already. "That was kind of obvious." I sighed. "Does this have something to do with the Tournament?" I wondered, making Kai tilt his head.

"Kinda." He spoke. "It's more like the reason we went to the Tournament." He told me, which didn't make much sense. "What do you mean?" "Before all that, we had our second fight with the Overlord..." Lloyd spoke up. "...Zane defeated him...but..." "But what?" I asked, needing to know. "What happened to him?"

"He sacrificed himself to save Ninjago." Wu bluntly told me.

Whatever I had expected them to say, it definitely wasn't that.

"What?" I gasped, shocked. "Yeah. He sacrificed himself to destroy the Overlord years ago. And, he's the whole reason we were invited to the Tournament in the first place." Jay explained, looking away. "But...now..." He didn't know what else to say, and I don't think anyone did.

I now understood what was going on with Zane, and it hurt me to even think about. I could feel how distraught he was, and I wanted to help. But I figured it would be best to give him space, and let Cole help him since he seemed to know more.
