Dakota opens his eyes, surprised to see a white ceiling. As he rubbed his head, he wondered, "What happened?"
He sits up and looks around, he's in an office on the couch?
Looking down, Dakota sees his coat serving as a blanket. Dakota is confused, so he gets up and goes to the door.
He exits the office and is greeted by Sachiko. "Oh! your awake!" She says.
He nods, "Where am I, and what happened?"
"Well, sir," she says with concern, "it seems that you ran all the way here from home and then fainted. I carried you to this extra office and placed you on the couch to rest."
Realization comes to him and he remembers, "Shit, I forgot today was my off day." He groans.
"Yes," Sachiko says with a sheepish smile.
"I'm so sorry for startling you, I am not sure what had made me forget I was off work." Dakota apologizes.
She smiles, "It's okay, now you should go home and rest. You hit your head pretty hard when you fainted." She offers.
He nods, "Yes, and thank you for helping me." He bows. She smiles, "Your welcome! Your belongings are on your desk."
He waves goodbye and walks to his desk. He grabs his stuff and walks to the elevator.
Dakota steps into the elevator and clicks the ground floor, exhaling as he wonders out loud, "How could I have forgotten today was my off day?"
"I only have one day off, I shouldn't have forgotten it."
A ding breaks him from his thoughts, the elevator door slides open and he walks out. He exits the building and checks his watch.
He sighed, pulling out his phone from his pants pocket and checking it. A message from Yoko surprises him, he hadn't heard from her in 2 weeks, he thought she was busy.
He opens the message.
"Coming over tonight :) buy the expensive sushi that I love." - Yoko
Despite being glad that she's not busy anymore and wants to be with him, he frowns at the last piece. "The sushi she likes is 50 miles away." He says out loud.
Getting there would require him to start his journey now, arrive by noon, and return home at night. It would take him all day.
Nevertheless, "I need to do it." He insists. "Yoko must have been waiting to hang out with me since she's been so busy."
"I'll have to stop by my house and change out of this suit."
He starts walking and an idea pops into his head. He gets his phone and opens his messages.
"Hey, you busy?" - Dakota
....
....
"Nope! What's up?" - Yuki
He smiles.
"I'm going on an adventure today, want to come?" - Dakota
"Yes! I love adventures! Where should we meet?" - Yuki
"Well Im near the general store off the main street, I need to go home and change before we start our journey." - Dakota
....
"I'm near there! I can come with you to your apartment!" - Yuki
Dakota laughs.
