In Dakota's life, he was ordinary. He also looked ordinary. He was a good employee, loved by his family, and had a girlfriend. After a terrible misunderstanding, his girlfriend suddenly breaks up with him, his job goes up in smoke, and now his fathe...
A.N. I am so sorry it takes me so long to update chapters, I am so tired on weekends and school takes up a lot of my time during the weekdays. But here it is, chapter 43! I also think the POV is a little confusing for some people. There isn't really a POV, I just focus more on Dakota's thoughts or Freya sometimes, it doesn't really matter. Please do not think that you are missing anything essential because it's not that important. It's technically both of their POVs.

They walked into the creaky gym with its abundance of equipment. Only a few holes were visible, but it was difficult to tell that it was over 40 years old.
Dakota sighs, "Wow, I miss this place, but I hate it just as much."
Looking around, Freya sniffs, "I understand the hate, it smells bad, but why would you miss this place?"
"Gym was a mandatory class and I hated physical activity. I hated climbing ropes and running miles." He sighed. "Dodge ball was a nightmare, but I still miss this place. I wish I could come here sometimes to just remember the good lonely days." He was being sarcastic but he figured Freya wouldn't understand that.
With the sun shining brightly, the cobwebs seemed to shine.
Freya just looked confused. "I can build a million gyms for you if you want, princess?"
Dakota coughs and chokes at the sudden name, not expecting it. With a blush on his face, he shakes his head, "It wouldn't be this one."
She tilts her head, "I can take this one."
Dakota mentally slaps himself: "I don't want you to take or make any gyms, this doesn't belong to me, plus where would you even put one?"
"In my pocket dimension." She deadpans as if it was obvious.
Dakota raises an eyebrow, "Still no."
"Why do you refuse to let me pamper you with whatever you want?" She questions with genuine confusion.
As Dakota pondered, he stopped looking around. Why did he stop her? She could give him anything he ever wanted— but he didn't want anything that badly, plus what he wanted wasn't important. He had Freya, for however long that would last, hopefully forever. That's all he really wanted.
"I- just don't want you to waste your magic on my silly wants. It doesn't matter." He shrugs.
Flames engulf Freya's hair and clothes as she shakes her head. A new red cloak and her familiar hat appeared soon after. Dakota was bewildered when she began whispering words he didn't understand. Before he knew it, the room started glowing!
With a surprised look on his face, he grabbed the cloak of Freya and stepped closer to her.
"W-what are you doing?" He hoped to god she wasn't going to take the gym anyway. How could he possibly explain to, who ever owned this abandoned school. That his girlfriend that he should have more than the person who paid for it.
