In Dakota's life, he was ordinary. He also looked ordinary. He was a good employee, loved by his family, and had a girlfriend. After a terrible misunderstanding, his girlfriend suddenly breaks up with him, his job goes up in smoke, and now his fathe...
Dakota had a permanent grin on his face. It wouldn't go away no matter what he did or thought, and he didn't want it to go away either. He was simply overjoyed.
In the garden, he was having fun with Emi. After their conversation, he went to Yuki excited and told her the good news. He then took her on a tour of the castle. More like Freya did, because Dakota would get lost in a heartbeat, but Dakota was the one who was talking and told her which rooms were what.
Dakota could see Freya was annoyed about having to show Yuki around, but he wanted to show Yuki her- their- home. He then brought her to the garden, where they both sat at the moment.
Dakota had pulled a dandelion and was playing with Emi with it. He pounced on the flower, finally catching it, meowing loudly.

Dakota chuckled.
"What is he?" Yuki asks. She was seated on the grass a few feet away, watching in awe at Emi. She hadn't seen him until now.
"Freya said he was a chingling," He shrugs. "She said they're really rare."
Yuki tilts her head, "Papas never told me about them." She then mumbles, "Is it possible he didn't even know they existed?"
Dakota leans his hand out and strokes Emi's adorable head before scratching under his chin. He meows and purrs cutely. Dakota turns his head. Freya was sitting on a wooden bench, a couple of feet away, and she had of course a book in hand reading.
"She certainly reads a lot." Dakota expresses his thoughts. He enjoyed reading as well, although Freya didn't have many books in Japanese. He assumed she didn't have any English books either. In high school, he studied English. It stayed with him, and he continued to learn the language until he was proficient.
"What could a dragon possibly be reading about anyway," Yuki says, reaching out to pet Emi.
Suddenly Emi snaps his head up to Yuki. His wings flex and he bears his fangs, hissing loudly.
"Emi!" Dakota scolds, picking him up. "Don't hiss at Yuki, she's a friend."
Emi strangely immediately relaxes and goes back to his usual self as soon as he had touched him
'Mommy!' He purrs softly, definitely not understanding anything he just said.
Dakota sighs, "Sorry Yuki, I don't know why he did that."
Yuki shrugs smiling, "It's fine. Must be a territorial creature."
Dakota smiles down at Emi, he couldn't stay angry at him for long. He was too cute. Emi relaxes in his hold and Dakota leans onto his back on the grass.
