Dakota sits up in bed, groaning. "I need to stop passing out so frequently." "It can't be good for my health," he sighs.

"Good morning, mate."

Dakota shifts his gaze to the side of the bed, where he notices Freya reading a book, seated at the foot of the bed.

"How long have I been asleep," Dakota asks with a yawn.

"12 hours." Freya answers.

Dakota groans once more. He needed to double-check that everything he had heard was correct.

"Freya... please tell me you were joking. When you said I was immortal now.."

Freya raises her eyes from her book. "I've researched what a joke is, and I assure you I'm not making one..."

Dakota was too shocked to feel anything...He honestly didn't know what to feel, or how to react. He kinda already did by fainting...but besides that. Was this actually real? Was he actually immortal? It sounded to crazy to be real. It had to all be some joke, but he knew Freya would never lie. Was he actually.... never going to die?

Freya suddenly closes the book and places it on the bed... she then opens her arms and stares at him with her usual blank face. He was confused for a moment, as to what she was doing.

He flushes slightly as he realizes what she wants him to do. He knew he couldn't say no; he desperately desired to be in her arms. For as long as he could, he wanted to be pressed against her. Dakota approaches her slowly on all fours. He encircles her waist with his arms and buries himself in her. Her strong arms immediately wrap around him, and he's enveloped by her warmth.

"I apologize mate... I was unaware of how fragile the human mind was. I did not understand how overwhelming this all was for you. I apologize for my ignorance. I will not fail to protect you again.." She expressed.

His eyes widen at her words. He stares into her eyes as his heart sped up and he smiles softly. He wasn't expecting her to apologize, he was surprised, but it made sense. She was a mythical dragon. She had already told him she hadn't even seen a human in thousands of years. "It's okay Freya. You didn't know... I can't blame you." He tells her.

Freya's eyes glow and she places a hand on his cheek. "You are too innocent.." She says.

Dakota blushes, "I-I'm not, I'm almost 30!" He unknowingly puffs his cheeks.

Freya pinches his cheek making him whine. "You would be considered an infant in dragon years..." She then pauses, "You have qualities similar to a hamster."

He rolls his eyes and giggles. The sound was heavenly and filled the entire room. Dakota's eyes suddenly scan the bed and he notices something.

"Hey, where's Emi?" He asks.

"He is sleeping on the cushion I provided him beside the bed." She replies.

"Let me see him." He had something he wanted to say to him..

Freya nods frowning slightly.. he could feel her want to keep him in his arms. She unwrapped her arms and Dakota slips off the bed. He spots Emi and he was cleaning his wings.

"Good morning little guy!" Dakota beams. He felt more refreshed, he wondered why.

All he did was sleep.
