They enter the hospital and proceed to the main desk. Dakota saw that there was a different person seated there than when he initially arrived. The woman smiled as she looked up from her computer.
"How may I assist you?"
Dakota replies, "I-I've come to visit my father."
She types for a few seconds on the computer. "Ah, yes, he's in-"
"Thank you; I know which room he's in." Dakota hurries, unable to bear the thought of having to wait any longer to see his parents. He pulls Freya down the corridor at breakneck speed.
Yuki rushes after them. It didn't take long for Dakota to find himself in front of the hospital room. His heart is still racing as he reaches out and knocks on the door.
Before the door opens, a sigh and movement are heard, "Yes-" Misaki appeared exhausted and spent. She was wiping her eyes, but when she opened them, her eyes widened and tears streamed down her cheeks.
"S-son?" She whimpers
Dakota couldn't keep his emotions in check and sobs with a smile, "Hi, mother."
She leaps into his arms, embracing him firmly. He wraps his arms around her right away. "Y-you're okay!" She weeps.
"Yeah, mom, I'm OK." Dakota could feel Freya's jealousy as they hugged for a few seconds. He looks up to find her staring down at them both. Dakota was grateful that he could sense she was restraining herself.
For his sake
Misaki clutches his face as they finally let go of one other. "Are you certain you're okay? So, what happens? What were you doing? You have no idea how terrified I was!" She cries, moving his face around to check for injuries.
"I'm, fine mother, I really am!" He smiles.
"But h-hows dad?" He asks.
Her look softens as she lets go, stepping aside, and showing his still sleeping father. Dakota exhales and steps into the room, where he sees his father more clearly. He leans forward and embraces him. "Hi, dad," he says quietly.
He pulls himself up and returns his gaze to his mother. "I'm so happy to see you," she said to Yuki as she hugged her.
"It's good to see you too, Ms. Katagiri. Have you eaten anything lately? You look tired." They pull from the hug. "Yuki, I'm alright. I'm honestly so relieved he's back."
She then turns and frowns at him, pointing a finger at him. "You had best tell me where you were, young man," she says.
With a sheepish smile, he scratches his neck. "Uh-." Freya suddenly enters the room, towering over everyone else. Misaki is briefly distracted by Freya's presence.
