Freya gazed out the bus window as her mate dozed. The werewolf had also slept off and was making a strange noise with her mouth. She wondered if the wolf was going to die, which would spare her from having to do it. Freya didn't completely despise the wolf; every time she spoke to or laughed with Dakota, she wanted to murder her—but then she recalled what Dakota had said. She didn't need to be afraid of him ever choosing anyone but her.

Dakota would always be her's

The wolf would never do anything to her mate. Not when she held the wolf's own mates in her hands. She wouldn't hurt them if the wolf girl didn't irritate her.

Her cute mate moans quietly in his sleep and pulls her closer. Freya's eyes sparkled as he made the motion. She wasn't sleepy, and she wouldn't risk leaving her or Dakota unprotected for even a moment to sleep. As the bus traveled, she was also quite interested in the sights they passed.

Freya preferred nature and trees, but after a few hours, she was confronted with something even more unexpected.

Freya's pupil dilated somewhat. What was it? Everything appeared little from afar, but Freya's heightened eyesight allowed her to see everything. More people were walking around and in weird metal things.

Is this some sort of kingdom? Freya saw the tall—what were they? They weren't as tall as she was, but some were wider and coated with glass. Freya felt compelled to bombard her mate with questions. He was more knowledgeable about the human world than she was. Her kitten was a genius who was flawless in every aspect.

The bus made a curve and began to go towards the kingdom. How did it manage to pivot so quickly? It's got to be connected to some kind of quick creature.

Freya wondered what the name of the country was and why she'd never heard of it before.

Freya had a lot of stuff in her hoard, but she didn't want to leave her forest. As a result, the majority of the books she had were out of date. This might be an excellent chance for her to locate and add to her hoard. Finding items for her hoard was a one-step process—if she saw anything she liked, she took it.
