Minji was panting when she rushed outside the cafe. Ironically, her heart was becoming heavier with every step that she take away from him.

She was still shaking when she went back to the hospital to go back to the parking area. She decided to return to the same comfort area to fix herself. She washed her face and pat her face dry while looking at her reflection intently.

"Why did I ran away?" she asked herself. "It's like he would recognize me."

She ran her fingers to her lips. "Stupid."

This was by far the most embarrassing day that she had. She texted George right away: "I'm done. See you. Do you want something?"

She did not wait for a long time before George replied back: "Nah I'm good. I'll get the car started."

She felt relieved when she's finally seated inside the car, yet her heart still continues to pound heavily. She was playing earlier's incident in her mind. Although she has seen his pictures that Atty. Choi sent, she admits that he looks a lot better in person. She blushed a little at her thought. His doe eyes that squint when he laughed and his jawline carved to perfection. And his playful, cocky smile as if he doesn't hate anyone....but her.

"You're son is handsome, Uncle Jung" she looked out to the now clouded sky. "He got your eyes."

"We could've been friends, uncle. He seems like a good person." Her thoughts continued with what ifs. A few minutes later, her phone rang, she answered it immediately when he saw Atty. Choi's name flashed on the screen.

"Hello, Atty. Choi" she greeted.

"Uncle" He corrected.

"Still getting used to it."She chuckled. "I just got off. Dr Lin said it was nothing serious and he prescribed some medicines and patches."

"Glad to know. You had your lunch?" Atty Choi asked.

"Yes, and I saw Jung Kook in the flesh!" were the words that wanted to escape her mouth but she knows that it wouldn't do any good.

"I did" She lied. "Ate some kimchi fried rice with dumplings while waiting for xray result." She continued with her lies.

"Take care. I have to go now. Linda is visiting." Atty. Choi.

"Bye, Uncle. Enjoy" They both hang up.

It's almost 4 pm in the afternoon when she reached home. Her files about Jung Kook mentioned that he usually goes off from office at around 7 pm giving her ample time to do chores.

She was cleaning the living area, the red marks that Jung Kook left on the pristine sofa unfortunately can no longer be removed even if it will be deep cleaned. A home cooked meal sure sounds nice to end the Friday night, but knowing that his housemate does not fancy her, it is sure that all of her efforts and food will just go to waste. She just finished dusting the center table off when the canned pork and beans finally boiled. She turned off the stove and washed her hands before she eats in peace.

She remembered that tomorrow is Saturday and would be their first weekend together. Together, Jung Kook and her are words that seemed to clash when put in a sentence but can no longer do anything about it. After her meal, she washed the dishes and the sink, drank her medicine then went to the pantry section of the kitchen to get supplies for tomorrow. She thought that Jung Kook might be around the house so it's better not to get out of the room.

"I'll just sneak in at night if I want more food" She reminded herself.

After grabbing a few canned goods, some chips, and a bottle of water she went inside her room. The room was colder than the usual because of the -ber months. "I'll just think that I'm on a girly sleep over that I never had the chance to attend because I wasn't invited when I was younger."

She placed her food on top of the bedside table and grabbed another blanket from the closet to make herself warm. She closed her eyes wishing what most people don't--for weekends to be over.

Minji's escape from dreamland was cut short when she woke up freezing. She looks at her phone and was surprised that it's already 1 AM. She was a bit hungry too when she reached out to another can of pork and beans which she will be eating cold, she realized that she was not able to bring a spoon. She was already thinking of opening the bag of chips and dunking it in the food but she has limited supply.

"Maybe he's asleep...or out" She peeked outside her door which is not far from the kitchen. The lights maybe turned off but there are no shadows so she tiptoed outside like a burglar in their own house. She decided not to open the lights anymore and just took a spoon. She would love to take the can opener as well but she thought that Jung Kook might need it later. She opened the fridge to get an ice cream bar and saw the box that Jung Kook left for her.

"My take-out made its way back to me" She was giggling happily. She re-heated the food and eat it in the dark and place everything back the way it should. She then opened the flashlight of her phone to write something: "Thank you. It was delicious." She posted it on the fridge.

She walked back to her room thinking that Jung Kook may not be an asshole after all.
