Chapter 66: For Now

"...happy birthday, eomma!" The whole family together chanted. Jung Kook was teary eyed, looking at the tombstone, thinking about his mom.

"I'm happy now, eomma. Thank you for everything."  Jung Kook smiled when another tear fell. His only regret was that his mom was not able to see Minji and the twins. Minji embraced Jung Kook, seeing how sad he is at the moment.

"Eomma would have loved you and the kids." He smiled at Minji and embraced her.

"She would..." Minji embraced Jung Kook back. "You married a wonderful woman." Jung Kook chuckled and Minji pinched his cheeks.

"Dad...can we eat the cake now? pleaseeee?" Starlight's eyes shined seeing the strawberry cake. Jung Kook patted his daughter's head and nodded. They went to the picnic table and Jung Kook sliced the cake, then he took one slice and poked a candle into it. He lighted it and placed it beside the tombstone, along with Starlight's drawing. Starlight drew the whole family including her parents' friends who stood as aunts and uncles to her and Moonlight.

"Mommy, you're not going anymore?" Moonlight asked while slurping the spaghetti that Jimin cooked. His face was smeared with spaghetti sauce.

"Uncle Jimin, this is the best!" Moonlight complimented.

"Glad you liked it, buddy!" Jimin and Moonlight high-fived.

Minji wiped Moonlight's face. "No, mommy will stay here..." She then started pecking her son's right cheek.. "Because I miss you, i miss you, i miss you!!!" Moonlight just pouted and Minji and Jung Kook laughed seeing how disgusted Moonlight looked.

Starlight then went to her. "Mommy, you did not miss me?" She hugged Minji. Minji carried her daughter into her lap and cupped her face. "I miss you more..." Starlight hugged Minji tighter. Moonlight rolled his eyes and Jung Kook ruffled his son's hair.

"Tyler has a gift for you both. It's in the car." Minji smiled and Starlight blushed.

"Mommy..." Moonlight looked at Starlight before calling her mom. "Starlight has a crush on Tyler!" Starlight's face became redder.

Starlight immediately pulled Moonlight's hair. "I do not!!! Take it back! Take it back! Take it back!" Chul stood and was trying entangle Starlight's hands from Moonlight. The latter, however, was just giggling.

"It's true, Mommy! He wrote Tyler's name at the back of her notebook and put a heart around it." Moonlight shouted. Starlight became more frustrated and started kicking the ground. Chul picked Starlight up because she started crying already. Jung Kook gave his son a warning look then took Starlight from Chul.

"Daddy...i--it's not true...." Starlight sobbed.

"Liars go to hell..." Moonlight teased and Minji playfully pinched his son's small waist.

"Stop it now....." Jung Kook kissed his daughter's hair. "It's normal to have crushes..."

"Just like mommy had a huge crush on me when we first met." Jung Kook teased. "...she pretended to have allergies so I can have her attention."

Minji slapped Jung kook's arm and looked him in the eye. "Says you who touched my finger when we were inside the elevator." Jung Kook bit his lower lip and gripped Minji's hand.

"I remember you blushing.."Minji was about to pinch Jung Kook but he held her close. His hands around her waist.

"I remember the day I fell in love with you..."He said outloud. Minji giggled and kissed her husband's cheek. After years of being together, their romance blossomed.

"Minji was the first to fall for your Dad..," Chul told Moonlight.  "Your mom will always deny her feelings back then but would always act cute when your Dad's around."
