His uncle really knows how to pull strings. Atty. Choi managed to convince the Seoul's mayor to officiate a wedding without the presence of the bride. Bride after all, is just one word away from bribe. He couldn't believe what money can do. He became an instant millionaire after receiving 25% of his father's savings.
He went inside the Mayor's office where the mayor informed him about his duties as a husband. He prepared for this day, he even paid for customized Tshirt which states: Getting Hitched.
"Usually, husbands tell their marriage vows." The Mayor scratched his head after reading his Tshirt. "Did you have one prepared?"
Jung Kook smirked. "Of course. I promise that she will suffer less."
Atty Choi looked at him. "Jung Kook...."
"I'm just kidding, uncle. I will be a good husband, a very, very good husband." He let out a small laugh.
"Well then, " the Mayor said. "you just need to sign here and your marriage will now be valid."
Jung Kook wasted no time in signing the marriage contract. "And it is done! Thank you, Mayor" He smilingly burst and handed him a box which contains a luxurious watch.
"Thank you Jung Kook. Do you want to leave something for the bride?" the Mayor asked.
Jung Kook's face looked puzzled. "Like what?"
Before the Mayor can speak, his uncle hit his head. "He's talking about rings, you coco brain"
"Aish uncle is that really necessary?" He mumbled. His uncle's hand turned into a fist. "I'm only doing this for the sake of my office renovation." He handed two boxes to him "My wedding gift to you. One is for you while the other one is for your wife."
"Thank you, uncle. But I will not be wearing this. I'll keep it though" He then took one of the boxes and slid it into his pocket. "I need to go now." He bowed to the Mayor and to Atty. Choi.
When Jung Kook left, the Mayor gasped for air. "Christian, that godchild of yours is arrogant!" He blurted.
"I know. I apologize. This is what the absence of his father made him." Atty. Choi explained.
"I hope the girl is nice." the Mayor commented while looking at his new watch.
"She is. Trust me"
Jung Kook almost hopped out of the Mayor's office after signing the marriage contract. He felt excited. Excited how he will spend his dad's hard-earned money to waste and how to make his wife suffer. These are all part of his revenge.
He texted a few of his friends to tell them to have a drink with him. He texted the name of the bar where he wants to drink. While walking, he felt the need to pee so he looked for the sign of the bathroom. There was a short line but he can still hold it in.
"I'm sorry for the queue. Some of the cubicles are being fixed." The janitor bowed at him.
"Oh not a problem." He bowed back.
The janitor continued to mop while his eyes are on his phone. He received a text from his college buddy, Jimin.
"Did you get a promotion? That bar is high-end."
"I'm just happy today. Don't worry about it." He replied.
"Whatever, brotha. See yah! I'll waste your money then"
He was laughing while he was texting, forgetting about the line. Before he takes a step forward, A sweet vanilla scent caught his attention. He quickly turned his head to see where it was coming from but all he saw was the back of a girl with a waist length curly hair wearing a white dress who stepped out of the girl's restroom walking her way towards the Mayor's office.
Jung Kook froze for a few minutes while pondering if the beautifully scented woman is his and will always be his unknown wife.
