Minji was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed while waiting for her release papers. She was given 24 hour bed rest at their house. When the doctor asked as to why she had a panic attack, she lied that she thought she saw a snake inside the bush.

George picked her things up after the doctor confirmed that she is okay to leave. She wanted to tell Tia Isabelle what happened but she's worried that she will dislike Jung Kook more.

She wanted to hate Jung Kook considering that in less than a week, he sent her to the hospital twice but she doesn't have the heart to do it. Whenever Jung Kook would throw angst, she would remind herself that he has been in a more awful situation. His anger towards his father has always been surpressed so he's taking it all out to her.

"Thank you, George." she faced George while they are inside the elevator.

"No biggie. Glad you're fine, kid." George replied.

They stepped out of the elevator and was walking towards the parking area when George asked: "Are you not hungry?"

She looked at George and smiled. "Uh..actually I am."

"You okay with hospital shit food?" He asked while scrolling through his phone.

Minji laughed at George being straight forward. He seemed like one of those cold guys but deep inside really care a lot.

"I read online that there's a cafe nearby that served really good pasta and buttermilk bread." She bit her lip for lying to George again.

"Ahhh you must be talking about Bread. Like the name but not a fan of sweet toast." They continue to walk to the car and Minji was trying to keep up with George's long strides.

He opened the car for her and placed her bag on her lap. "Cris will not like it if he finds out I let you out in the open, but after what happened, you deserve it." George mentioned while they drive away. He is really one of those guys.

"We never went to Bread, got it?" George asked.

She nodded. "Yes. We never went to Bread." she trailed a zipper sign across her lips.

"Good. Now text your Uncle Cris and say that you are still waiting for the release papers." George ordered and smirked. She looked at George through the rear view mirror and found herself smiling because she felt that there is at least one person who wants to let her be free.

"He said it's okay so long as I have you." Minji read Atty. Choi's reply.

"Kid, you will always have me." He looked back through the mirror with his deep set of brown eyes which made Minji blushed. George smirked then fix his eyes on the road.

They reached the cafe in no time. She opened the car but stopped herself from getting out when she noticed that George is still sitting.

"Y--you're not coming with me?" She asked.

"Nah, kid. Need to smoke. But buy me a cup of Americano." He replied while his hands are texting.

"Got it. Thank you again, George."

"You're thanking me too much. Go on and enjoy your at least an hour of freedom. I'll step out in a bit and look for a place to smoke." His eyes are still on his phone.

She went outside and entered the cafe. There are a lot of people inside compared the last time she was here but the buttermilk scent still lingers. She was waiting on queue figuring out what to order. The line was moving fast.

"Hello. What would you--...it's you!" The cashier raised her voice which made a few people turn around. "Minji, right?"

"Yes...Uhm I'm sorry what happened the last time. I panicked."

"That's okay. Our carbonara isn't boiled with shrimp so I guess that's safe for you." Her eyes are still looking at her.

"Thank you. One carbonara, a strawberry milk tea for here and a cup of Americano to go."

The cashier punched her order and said that it will be served soon. She went to an empty seat at the corner of the cafe behind the book shelf. She grabbed a random paperback and begins to read while waiting. She wasn't aware that it's almost 10 minutes.

"The seat in front of her suddenly screeched and a lady with a messy bun sat in front of her.

"Sorry, I was late. I woke up with a hang over."

She almost jumped out. The lady was fixing her bun. "I  can't believe they are making me do this on my time off"

"Uhhhhmmmm...I I don't" She looked confused. "I don't think we know each other."

"Yes. yes. But Ralph must've told you, right?" She placed her bag on the table and began to take out a few papers. "You just need to review these documents. Their managers are demanding and particular."

Minji is still confused but snapped out when her order arrived.

"Miss, can I also follow up on my order? It's just latte and muffin. Thank you." The lady said to the waitress.

"Karen vibes." She thought to herself.

"Anyway, Ralph told me that it's your second time applying."

"Uhhhh... I think you have the wrong girl." She finally said it while she took a sip from her strawberry milk tea.

"Hell, no." She was surprised. "Aren't you Yang Minji? I asked the cashier if there is a Minji here because she made reservation and pointed me towards you"

"Yes I am Minji too but it's Lee Minji....sorry"

She took a mouthful of carbonara and a bite of buttermilk bread.

"Then where the hell is that girl? God, my battery is dead now" Her coffee and chocolate muffin arrived.

"I have a charger in my bag." The waitress offered.

"Thank you. You are a life saver, sweetie."

"Let me just get it for you." The waitress turned around and went to the back of the cafe.

"I'm sorry...I was supposed to meet thia girl because of a friend's referral for an associate writer position for MC Enterprises." She took a bite from her muffin. "I am a headhunter and this girl failed her application the first time. We wanted to give her pointers."

"That is very nice of you." She then remembers that she too needs to apply.

"Anyway, as soon as my phone opens. I'm gonna leave. Sorry for the mistake." The waitress returned and left the charger. She mouthed a "thank you" to her

"Can I try applying?" She asked out of nowhere.

She gave her a doubtful look. "Do you have writing experience?"

"Collegiate publication. Just graduated last year from UPenn." She was trying to recall Minji's impressive credetials.

"Oohhh. Ivy League. Impressive." She took out a paper and wrote her number. "Guess you have a shot. Here's my number and the address of our office. I'll book you for an assessment tomorrow"

Her phone blinked. "Text me if you got lost. You can have these reading materials."

"Thank you. I'll do my best." She smiled at her.

"You better. My incentive is on the line if you don't." She chuckled. "Anyway, I have to sit elsewhere. This area is a dead spot. It was nice meeting you. My name's Kara by the way." She handed out her right for a friendly shake.

"Likewise." She took her hand and shake it firmly.
