Chapter 58: Book Signing

It's been half a year since Minji filed the divorce. Six months of loneliness. The lives of the people around her, in contrary, were getting better;

Jennifer and Namjoon got married and is soon expecting a child. Nam-il sent pictures to their GC but he removed it then re-send it once he cropped people out from it, but Minji saw it already. Jung Kook is with Ashley that day.

Nam-il and Chiku were still at MC Enterprises, stronger than ever. Nam-il told them that they are saving together for a house. They plan to get married in three years.

Delilah and Eunji travelled cross-country. They are both spirited couple and they expressed how they wanted to see the world. They are still hoping for the day that their parents will be accepting them, but for now, according to Delilah, what matters is they have each other.

Chul temporarily moved to Taiwan. MC Enterprises planned to open a site there and he was asked to supervise new hires, together with Aera.

Joey got a girlfriend, a hot single mom.

Atty. Choi and Linda are back on honeymoon stage. They went to Philippines for a vaction. They both enjoyed Boracay so much that they got the most glorious tan when they returned.

George finally found his daughter, Monica. She returned home and kneeled in front of her father for forgiveness. Her dreams of becoming a K-pop star may have never happened, but she seems to be happy doing acoustic covers in her growing YouTube channel.

Alejandro is in Japan for a business trip and Tyler's teeth finally got fixed.  He still calls her Mama Minji. Alejandro told him that Samuel is starting home school while they are still finding treatments for his legs.

Jimin resigned from MC Enterprises. Chul told her that he and Jung Kook are business partners now.

And Jung Kook, her greatest love, has been doing wonders in his life. He was featured as one of the "Budding Businessmen to Watch Out for" in a local newspaper. She read that article and saw his picture in grey suit, looking more gorgeous than before. His eyes were still striking. She missed him.

Jung Kook was able to launch his business: Sunshine Publishing Haus and the first book that was published was written by him: Hana is not a Hero.

It tells the story about Hana, her abuse and her struggles when she was a child, how she was trained to be an assasin and how she died. Six months have passed and her body still isn't found. The police have already given up, but not Jung Kook, he wanted to tell the world her story because that's how she will remain alive.

And the world heard him. The world heard Hana's story loud enough.

The book was a massive success and Jung Kook won numerous awards, the proceeds of the book were donated to children who are used in human trafficking. The money was used for the child's medical expenses and re-building of their stolen childhood through series of government programs.

Jung Kook may not have gained any profit from the book but it opened doors for the publishing house. Investments followed and soon after authors aligned wanting their works published under his company.

The world moved on, but not Minji. She went to the bookstore today to buy a copy of Hana is not a Hero to show her support for her ex-husband. A poster of Jung Kook was outside the bookstore,  announcing a book signing event at three in the afternoon but she wouldn't dare go there. He's finally moved on and she wouldn't want him to see that she hasn't yet.

A crowd soon filled the place when Jung Kook entered the bookstore and Minji's heart stopped seeing him again. He's there standing a few feet from her in blue suit and slicked haircut. He was bowing to the crowd while slowly making his way to the area where the book signing will happen. Minji walked out and smiled. She looked at the sky, hoping for the best.
