Third Person POV

"Racer!" Spot exclaims, flopping onto his boyfriend's bed.

Davey rubs the temples of his forehead, a bit exasperated.

Race flips the covers off of his face, grinning. "Spotty!" He exclaims.

Spot chuckles. "Toni!" He exclaims.

"Yeah, no." Race laughs to himself. "I'm going to stick to 'Spotty', because 'Seanie' doesn't sound great."

Spot laughs.

He grins at his boyfriend. "Guess what day it is!" He exclaims.

"I get to leave this horrible place!" Race exclaims, grinning. "No offense." He quickly tells the two nurses.

The female nurse chuckles. "None taken. We understand." She responds.

Race had been in the hospital for over two weeks and since he was doing well, he was allowed to go home today.

"Okay," Jack starts, tossing a backpack onto the bed next to Race and Spot. "We brought clothes."

"Please tell me they're my clothes." Race almost pleads with him.

Spot purses his lips. "Oops." He shrugs.

Race looks at him. "Well, his work too." He mutters, his face heating up.

Spot chuckles, pressing a kiss to Race's forehead, before getting off of the bed.

"Spot's just going to stay in here with you while you change cause you're still sore." Jack tells Race, opening the door. "Come out when you're done."

Race nods.

They all leave.

Race quickly changes, with some help from his Soulmate.

Spot helps him walk out of the room.

Race tries to push his hands off of him. "I'm fine." He grumbles. "I've been in the hospital for over two weeks, I just want to tumble." He complains.

"What was that second sentence again?" Jack asks him, crossing his arms.

Race mutters curses under his breath.

The female nurse chuckles, a clipboard with paper in her hands. "There's just a bit more paperwork and then you're free to go." She informs them.

They nod.

They sit down, Jack filling out the paperwork.

Race was just anxiously picking at his nails and bouncing his leg.

Spot gently places his hand on top of Race's, trying to calm him.

"Race," Jack starts slowly, flipping the page. "When's your birthday?" He asks, looking up at his brother.

Race looks at him. "Jack Kelly, if you don't know my birthday," he starts. "I will cry."

Jack chuckles. "I was joking, I was joking." He responds, looking back at the paperwork.

The female nurse chuckles again.

"Medda texted me and said she's here with Crutchie." Spot informs Jack, putting his phone in his pocket.

Race saw the confusion on the nurse's face. "I promise he approves of this nickname." He quickly tells her.

She nods, deciding not to question it.

Jack finishes filling out the paperwork, handing it and the pen to the nurse.

She smiles, taking it. "You're set to go now." She tells them.

Race jumps up, grinning.

Spot quickly stops Race, pulling him into his arms. "Careful, Toni. Careful." He whispers, chuckling softly. "We need to be calm, love."

"I just got out of the hospital, Spot." Race responds, rolling his eyes. "Let me be excited." He complains.

"Being excited is okay," Davey starts. "But dong hurt yourself." He adds.

Race rolls his eyes, muttering something about 'overprotective and annoying brothers and Soulmates'.

Spot chuckles softly, following his Soulmate down the hallway.

Jack and Davey shoot the nurse a smile, before following the other two boys.

"He's going to kill himself." Davey mutters, a bit exasperated.

Jack chuckles. "It's Race and he's excited to be leaving the hospital." He gently takes Davey's hand in his own, rubbing circles into the back of it. "We'll make sure he doesn't get hurt."

Davey nods.

Race walks out of the building, breathing in the air. "Air! Real outside!" He exclaims, turning to face Spot.

Spot chuckles. "You're dramatic. New York City air is not that great." He tells him.

"It definitely isn't," Race responds. "But I don't care." He sticks his tongue out at Spot.

Spot chuckles.

Jack and Davey walk outside.

Medda pulls up in front of them.

Race walks (after Spot stopped him from running) over to her to give her a big hug.

"Hey, Anthony." Medda whispers.

Race felt tears sting his eyes. He missed her motherly hugs.

They stay like that for a few minutes, before Race pulls away.

Spot helps Race climb into the car.

Race cringes in pain a bit, sitting down in the middle of Crutchie and Spot.

Crutchie grins at him.

They hug each other.

"I missed you so much." Race whispers, clinging to his brother.

Crutchie felt a few tears slip onto his shirt.

Crutchie smiles. "I missed you too, Racer." He pulls away, wiping the tears off of Race's face. "Quit going and getting hurt on me, alright?" He jokes.

Race laughs a bit, wiping the tears off of his face. "I definitely am going to stop." He responds. "It's not fun."

"That's a shocker." Davey mutters from the backseat, where he sat with Jack.

Jack chuckles.

Race rolls his eyes.

"Race," Medda starts, turning the mirror so she could see his face.

Race looks up at her.

"Since Wiesel is going to jail," Medda starts softly, smiling warmly. "You're back with us."

The smile on Race's face grew.

"And that's not even the best part." Medda chuckles softly. "We're adopting you."

Race's eyes widen and his jaw drops.

His hands fly over his mouth, more tears sliding down his face. "Really?" He whispers.

Medda smiles, nodding.

Crutchie pulls Race into another hug as Race starts crying.

"Oh my gosh," Race whispers. "This is the best day of my life." He says.

"I thought that was supposed to be saved for your wedding day." Spot comments, shooting Race a mock offended look.

Race laughs weakly, looking at his boyfriend. "Don't worry," he starts softly. "That'll be a close second."

Spot shoots him another offended look.

The others in the car, including Medda, laugh.

Spot smiles, entwining Race's hand in his own.

I missed you so much.
