February 25th

I spoke to myself in my head, still laying in bed just staring up at the ceiling. It's been a year since the day I broke up with Jacob, a year since this entire chaotic mess started. I never would have imagined to be where I am today, I would have never pictured what would come from breaking it off with him.

Its been a little over 8 months since Jacob has been incarcerated, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't relieved. Michael and I were able to move down to Houston without any issues, we finally have our puppy boots with us which is so much fun.

I've been working hard on coming up with new collections for Olivia and making sure the store here in Houston is up to par. It has been a dream doing this every day, I've gotten lots of positive feedback not just from customers but also from the other people working with Olivia. We have monthly meetings via webcam where we discuss collections and how the day to day is going at each store. I still create my own items at home for fun so that I don't lose myself and my preferred style.

As of now our hearing is scheduled for September of this year, luckily they set Jakes bond really high so that he will remain in prison until the hearing. Michael and I have grown a lot together in the past few months, I feel closer to him than ever before. It's still sometimes a shock to me how healthy this relationship is and how unhealthy of an environment I was in prior to Michael.

I gave myself the day off today, just to be able to relax; I had been working non stop since coming out here, including weekends, so I felt the need to just stay home and have a day to myself. Michael had left for work early this morning per usual, and I decided that I would surprise him at work for lunch. We hadn't had lunch together in a few weeks now, although we try to do it often.

He doesn't know I'm off today so it'll truly be a surprise for him. I slugged out of bed to prepare for the day of errands, normally Michael will get groceries delivered to our house but there are some things he missed so I figured I would run out and get them after taking him lunch.

I had gotten up this morning at 9:30 and cleaned up around the house, despite being in the house for about 8 months we still had some miscellaneous things in boxes which I was finally able to put away. Michael ended up hiring someone to fully decorate the house for us, we just told her what we wanted and she worked her magic.

After putting everything away and cleaning up I went up stairs and cleaned our room up, making the bed was my favorite thing to do. It always completely changes up the look of the bedroom. Once finished with that I hopped in the shower to wash up before getting dressed. I decided to wear something simple but cute, I'm always dressing business or business casual for work so I wanted to change it up.

I settled on a cute white lace bralette under a long sleeve cross over top, paired with high waisted black skinny jeans; I layered some gold necklaces to add to the look.

11:30, Just in time

I spoke to myself, I was able to finish Michael's favorite pasta in time to meet him for lunch; creamy tomato spinach pasta was his favorite. I packed everything up in a cute little picnic basket for easy traveling and loaded everything up in the car and headed out
