I could feel the warmth of the sun on my eyelids, telling me its time to wake up. I covered my face with the covers trying to get more time to sleep but when my alarm went off I knew I needed to get up.

I sat up in the bed and looked out of the floor to ceiling windows in this bedroom, the sun was making its way higher in the sky over all of the buildings. It really looked breathtaking.

I threw the covers off of me, kicking my legs over the side of the bed and grabbing my duffel bag and heading into the bathroom next to the room I slept in. The counter top in the bathroom is also black marble, Im really beginning to like this look.

I turned on the shower, stepping in shortly after. Something about the feeling of warm water on my skin early in the morning is so soothing. I quickly cleaned myself up and stepped out of the shower, dried myself off and pulled out the outfit I had for today.

I didn't feel like trying too much today but still want to look nice. I put on my olive green, over the shoulder, long sleeved top then slipping into my army print overalls. I went with some brown booties for shoes and had brought a soft fluffy coat in case I got cold.

After getting dressed I brushed my teeth and applied some light makeup to my face, on my lazy days I just used bb cream, did my brows and applied mascara

I finished up and made my way out into the kitchen, I could hear the shower on so I'm assuming Michael is still getting ready. I took it upon myself to make something for us to eat, luckily his fridge was pretty well stocked. I decided on some scrambled eggs, sausage links and toast.By the time Michael walked into the kitchen I had finished up with our breakfast

"wow you didn't have to make breakfast" he smiled, this is the first time I see him in casual clothing..I almost thought he didn't own any

"it's no biggie" I hadn't noticed myself staring at him, he wore a black long sleeve that clung onto his muscular body, with tan cargo pants and black vans.

"You like my outfit?" he took a sip of his coffee, catching me staring at how good he looks in even the most simple outfit

"yeah" I quickly turned away "just not used to not seeing you in a suit" I grabbed a cup of coffee for myself and turned towards the island where he stood "you almost look like a normal person" I smiled before taking a drink from my coffee

"so does that mean I look bad in my suits?" he raised an eyebrow at me as he filled his mouth with a mixture of scrambled eggs and sausage links

"oh no, you look really good in your suits" I scarfed down some eggs before continuing "I just haven't seen you in normal clothes"

Once we finished up with our food I took the dishes to the sink to wash, I always hated just leaving dishes in the sink. I'd rather wash them right away and get it out of the way. Michael walked up from behind me, placed one hand on the small of my back, and reached down to place his mug in the sink.

"Thank you" I could see through my peripheral that he looked down at me, I could feel my body heat rising at the thought of him looking at me so closely "Oh also" I looked up at him finally, only to see him move his head looking at my from head to toe "you look really good" he winked, only making me blush more than I already was

"Thank you" I smiled before finishing up with the dishes

"Are you going to drive your car over today?" we've been in the car in silence for a few minutes until he started a conversation

"I'm not sure, I'm kind of scared to drive it at all since he knows what car I drive" I keep getting scared that he'll follow me or something

"maybe you should get a new one" he glanced over at me for a second, maybe to make sure I was okay

"maybe, I just don't know how much I can put down for a down payment.. I want to avoid having a high car payment" I stared out the window as we drove, still I could feel him glancing over at me every so often

"I can help"

my head immediately shot over in his direction "No Michael I can't let you do that" he reached over and put his hand on my left thigh before speaking

"I didn't ask Katie May"

We pulled into the apartment complex, next to my car, and began to make our way towards the front door. I always hated moving but luckily this would just be my clothes and the other items I brought from my old place so it shouldn't be much.

Michael followed closely behind as if to make sure that nothing happened to me in the trip from the car to the door. I unlocked the door, pushing it open only for my heart to sink into my stomach.

"oh my gosh" Michael spoke directly behind me

I stepped into the tornado that was the living room, with tears beginning to form in my eyes. The more I looked the worse it got. There were pictures and papers all over the floor, some cut up and others drawn all over with a black marker. There were picture frames broken, the tv screen cracked, the small amount of furniture that Jess still had here was broken or messed with.

I walked in further and fell to the ground, I reached out to grab a picture of my mother and I, the tears fell as I saw the word bitch written across it. Michael immediately came to my side, he turned me towards him and pulled me in for a hug and squeezed me tight. I cried into the crevice of his neck with my arms wrapped around him

"it's going to be okay" he whispered into my hair

I pulled away, wiped the tears from my face and stood up from the ground, determined to see what else he had done. I walked to the small dining table to see it all scratched up with what looks to be some sort of knife, on top of the table was a sticky note

Where have you been?

I knew it was him but this only confirmed it "He's smart" I spoke as I felt Michael approach me "there's no way to prove this was him even though I know it is, so the police can't do anything"

"We should still report it" he rubbed my upper arm with his hand "I already took some pictures to turn in"

I turned to face him and hugged him once more "Thank you" he rubbed my back trying to ease my stress. I pulled away once more and made my way into the bedroom, the drawers had been taken out of the dresser and thrown on the floor. Luckily most of them were empty since Jess had moved nearly all of her clothes over, all that was left was mostly my clothes. I looked closely to see that everything was cut up.

I got down on my knees and reached out for the clothes on the floor, trying to make out what piece of clothing it was. It looked like he had taken scissors or a knife and slashed everything up. I got up and went to the closet where everything was similar, some clothes were still on hangers but all of it was cut up.

"I need to call Jess"
