"I didn't know you were looking at homes" Lilly spoke as we pulled up in front of a beautiful 2 story home

"I didn't either" I chuckled

"Yeah it was a surprise for you," Michael smiled at me "I figured we could get a house instead of renting a condo"

"Michael buying a house is a lengthy process" Michelle spoke from the back seat

"I know, but I also know people. This house was just put on the market and is ready to move in, paperwork is all ready to go, I just wanted to make sure Katie liked it before pulling the trigger"

"Wow Mikey, look at you being a grown man" Lilly snickered from behind us 

"Shut up miss 'I still have mom do my laundry'" he retorted 

"Okay you two that's enough, lets go look at this house" Michelle intersected the conversation, opening her door shortly after. 

I still had the puppy in my lap and decided he should sniff around his possible new home. I hopped out of the car and set him on the ground. I giggled as he sniffed around the grass and tree that was in the front yard

"He seems to like it so far" Michael walked up beside me 

"It looks like it" I pointed at the puppy marking his territory on the tree 

The house itself was beautiful, it had light grey wood siding all over the house with white trim. The first thing that caught my eyes was the wrap around deck it had, that was always something I wanted in a home. The lawn and greenery in front of the house was well maintained which made the house more appealing 

"Michael!" A woman shouted from the door "So glad you made it, come on in!" 

I picked up the puppy and followed Michael inside the house with his mom and sister behind us. 

"Stephanie, this is Katie" He began introducing us "and this is my mom and sister"

"So nice to meet you all, let me show you around" she turned to show us around 

"So when you first walk in, this is like a big mud room, to the left here is one of the living rooms. It would also work as an office if you wanted, the windows would allow for perfect lighting in here for that" 

The inside was just as beautiful, it had a modern farmhouse look which was right up my alley. The floors were a dark hardwood, the walls were all white so that we have a blank canvas for any paint that we wanted to put up

"to the right are the stairs to the second floor" We walked in a little further "Right here is the half bath" she opened the door which seemed to be under the staircase to show the bathroom "and this is a coat closet and a small storage closet" she pointed to the doors across the half bath

"In here is the kitchen" we walked in even further and the kitchen came in to view, it was gorgeous. It had a large kitchen island, the countertops were a white marble on black drawers. All of the appliances were brand new and stainless steel. The stove was located across from the island, along that wall there were two entry way's on either side which lead to the second living room; directly across from the kitchen was the dining area. 

Once we finished looking at the bottom floor she lead us up the stairs to the top floor, which was amazing because there were 2 sets of stairs that led to the second floor; one of them was at the front door and the other was in the second living room. We went up through the staircase in the second living room, which was just at one end of the hall. 

Up stairs there were 4 bedrooms total, 3 on one end of the hall and the master was above the dining area and part of the first living room. In between the master and the other rooms there was a large room which Stephanie said could be used as another office. Up stairs there were 3 bathrooms, one in the master, one in one of the rooms and another that was in the hallway

She did take us outside to the backyard, which was very spacious. There was a pool in the center of the yard, surrounding the pool there was a ton of space for us to put furniture out here to entertain family and friends. 

"So I'll let you two discuss, I'll be inside when you're ready" Stephanie left us outside to make a decision, Michelle and Lilly were still inside looking through the house 

"So what do you think?" Michael asked

"Honestly?" I asked 

"yes please"

"I absolutely love it babe, I never would have imagined you were going to look for a house" my eyes began to water like always "I mean I know its yours but still, everything you've done for me since meeting me, I'm just so lucky to have you" 

"Baby its ours, I'm not going anywhere and won't let you go anywhere either" he pulled me in for a hug and kissed the top of my head

"So have you decided?" Michelle walked outside, Lilly right behind her along with the puppy 

"Yes, she loves it" Michael spoke 

"Oh yay, I think its perfect for you guys and for the future" she smiled happily

After we told Stephanie that we were locked in, she put in all the paperwork that Michael had already pre-signed. We're supposed to get the keys within the next week, and our plan is to move out to Houston fully within 3 to 4 weeks.

We made our way back to Michael's parents house for dinner and a game night, Lilly and her husband, Adam, came too which only made the night more fun. Over all this chance to meet them couldn't have gone any better

"So have you decided on a name for him yet?" Michael asked while I helped his mom wash the dishes 

"I can't decide between Milo or Boots" I responded, placing the last dish on the drying rack and reaching for the towel to dry my hands off 

"Boots?" Michael raised a brow 

"Yeah! Cause it looks like he's wearing boots on his feet because his paws are all white" I chirped 

"I love that name!" Lilly added 

"That is really cute" Michelle spoke from behind me 

"I think we found his name" Michael chuckled 

"Hey who's phone is this?" Adam, Lilly's husband, interrupted our chuckles. He pointed next to him where a phone was lit up showing an incoming call 

"Oh that's mine, Mikey can you answer it please?" I exclaimed, he nodded in agreement and walked a few steps away leaving us to continue talking 

"So are you sure you don't mind keeping him here until we move?" I asked 

"No its not a prob-" Michelle was cut off by the sound of Michael's voice

"Who is this!?" he shouted into the phone 

"Michael is everything okay?" his dad asked 

"Listen you son of a bitch, I'm going to find you and take care of you myself. Leave her alone" he spoke firmly before ending the phone call, the room was tense and I didn't know what to do or say 

"Michael what's going on?" Michelle walked up to him, thank god she broke the silence cause I sure wasn't going to. He turned to look at me, anger in his eyes, and I knew what we needed to do 

"We need to tell you guys something" I spoke up
