I spent the rest of the weekend thinking about what I wanted, part of me wants Jake..mostly because of familiarity, and he always tells me that I can't do better anyway so whats the point?
I hate that the weekend always goes by in what feels like the blink of an eye, I feel like I hardly ever get to really enjoy the weekend or relax..but here we are again, another Monday morning getting ready for another full day of work. I always take time during my morning showers to prepare for the day ahead and try to de-stress myself however it doesn't seem to be working today.
I hopped out of the shower and made my way to the bedroom to get dressed, Jake was already in the kitchen getting coffee made. I looked through my closet trying to find an outfit that wouldn't spark up an argument with Jake today, I bought a few more clothes recently that hopefully he would approve up but even things that I think will be okay, he finds something about to dislike.
I decided on a simple black dress with a white stipe along the bottom hem, it wasn't too form fitting so hopefully I can walk out of here without being upset.

At first Jake wasn't so overprotective, he didn't complain about my outfit choices or about 'showing too much', it wasn't until a year into our relationship that a switch flipped and he said that he didn't want anyone looking at me and 'getting any ideas' in his words
After slipping my feet into my heels I made my way to the kitchen to fill my travel mug with coffee. I passed by Jake and as I did I could feel him watching me. I turned around to see him eyeing me up and down
"Good morning" I smiled, hoping he wasn't going to say anything
"Good morning beautiful" he smiled back before bringing up his fork full of scrambled eggs to his mouth "how'd you sleep?"
"Pretty good" I walked into the living room and grabbed my purse, throwing my coat on, I reached onto the counter and grabbed my mug
"I was thinking of going to the gym today, want to come with?" It had been a while since I went to the gym, I used to go daily but slowed down lately. Jake stood up and walked up to me
"Sure" I smiled "ill meet you here and we'll ride together" with that being said, Jake kissed me and I made my way to work
The morning moved quickly today, Mr Baker had me do a lot of copying and faxing for a meeting coming up this Friday..apparently it was an important one. A couple of people dropped by to deliver some files for him so I had to make sure to be on top of each one. I usually get someone to cover me for my break, today it was one of the girls in the phone room.
"I'm here" she announced as she walked up behind me, she is always so peppy when she comes to cover me
"Thanks again Nina" I smiled as I began to close out some of the pages I had up that I knew she wouldn't need
