Cowardice

Sport car Bugatti! Oh, my God! I could not believe my eyes. It was my dream. I needed this car to practice my driving. I wanna be a stuntman, to be in movies, who does a lot of tricks with cars. I had to visit special car clubs of extreme driving.
"I wanna drive right now!"- I was so happy.
"You are welcome, now it is your car." - My dad was so proud of himself.
"Be careful, darling!"- mum was worried.
"May I go with your daughter, I need to speak with her face to face. I promise, she will come back in twenty minutes."- Toby's voice trembled.
"Of course, you may."- mum was glad to hear it. She was waiting for our engagement. She considered Toby was a good type of boyfriend.
"Josephine, you must be at home, we have family time, and Toby isn't one of us."- Jayden took my hand and tried to bring me home.
"Jo, I have to give you something, let's ride."- Toby was more confident than before.
"Ok, I'm not for a long time."- I got into the car, Toby was at the passenger's seat.

I drove by two blocks and stopped. I was a bit scared to be with Toby far from my house.
"What do you want to tell me?"- I tried to keep calm.
"I see you have a new bracelet."- he wanna touch my wrist, but I stopped him.
"Yeah, YOUR is in the bottom of the ocean, Toby."
"Sorry me once again."
"Never mind! You wanna tell me only this?"- I lost my patience.
"No, I wanna give you this one."- he gave the box with pretty earings.
"No, Toby. I can't take it. Because if I take it, you decide that you can be with me, but it's not true."
"No, I don't think about it. Please, I don't know how I can relieve my soul in front of you. Forgive please."

Jayden sent me a message by message. "Come home, now!", "If he hurts you again, you can't stop me.", "Jo, please come back!"
I didn't answer and he tried to call me. But I didn't answer to him too. He started to call Toby.
Toby got out of the car to answer the call. I could hear only: " Jayden, don't worry. I don't touch her, I swear you. In ten minutes, she will come back."
Toby came to the car back and said: "Your brother can't sleep until you come home. Let's go. I can get to my home from your house."

Near my house, Toby took my hand and looked into my eyes sadly.
"Can I suppose you will forgive one day?"
"Toby, stop doing it. I forgive you. Let's forget it and never remember."
"Thank you so much. Last question, can I suppose that we can be together. I know, you love him. But he is your brother and he will go away. I will be with you forever, Jo."
"Jay! Oh, sorry! Toby, I can't you promise anything."- I said to him goodbye and saw that Jay's room was in light.

When I was at home, everybody was in silence. I thought all was sleeping except Tracy, me and Jayden. I came to my room, found the  box under my bed, that box which Jayden presented me for my birthday. Then, I came to his room without knocking. Jay was standing near the window.
I srarted: "Take your box, I don't need it."
"What!? What's wrong with you, Josephine? What did he say to you again?"
"I don't need it, because you will go away, you will leave me again. You are brave only in your ring, but with me you are a coward boy. YOUR cowardice won't save us."

I finished and wanted to come out. He took that box and threw it into the wall near my head. I stopped and turned around, our eyes met and the whole world stopped existing.
