Blood

Toby was late, as usual. His age changed him. He became from slim guy to plump one. He stopped his car not far from car show from Josephine.
"Hey, guys! What is happening here?" - He came to me and Grace.
"Jo has decided to show those ex-prisoners her skills. You know, when a man says to her about woman's weakness, she becomes angry." - Toby smiled and nodded.
"Jay, now I can say that I'm so happy to have a daughter by name Josephine. Thank you for it." - Grace was about crying.
"Our daughter is miracle. Thank YOU for our little wonder." - I was really happy daddy when little Jo hugged me by her small hands, her thin fingers.
My thoughts were interrupted by high-pitched shriek.
Jaaaaaayyyyyy.......
This shriek belonged to Josephine.

I opened the door of her car and saw Jo, my mind passed me to our childhood.

When I was 8, our parents and their friends took me and little Jo to the hike.
It was good weather, green grass, big trees, blue and cold lake. Mum was cooking, her friend was swimming. Men were fishing. Me and Jo were playing and suddenly saw a rusty boat. I offered her to climb up there, we tried to imagine a deep boundless sea and I was a captain. When Jo inserted her leg to the hole in the boat, she shrieked. I didn't understand what happened. She cried, yelled, ran around that boat. I asked her what wrong was, but she was only screaming. Everybody had run to us for help. Mum was about fainting from fear. Charley touched her small body and saw a red spot on her ankle. It was a bite of a bee. Just a bee. My dad sucked the poison  from the wound and she was calm down. I was shocked. But this case, I opened the door and saw the blood.
Much blood, on her legs, on her dress, on her palms, on her face, everywhere in the car. She was hysterical crying and touching her face.
"Jo, what IS it?"
"Jay, I feel sharp pain below my stomach. I need a doctor."
"Toby has already called the ambulance."
I helped her to come out.
One ex-prisoner said to me: "Your girlfriend is really cool, take care of her. She is unique." When I heard the word "girlfriend" my heart responded with sweet beating.

After the men saw the blood and walked away, again into the bar went on drinking and having fun.
Grace was scared, she didn't know how to help. Toby was anxious too.
"Are you injured in the car?" - He asked helping me to bring her. She felt the pain inside, so I couldn't carry her.
"No, it's different!" - I assured.
While we were waiting for the doctors, I didn't know why, but it seemed to me, I had seen the blood at my wedding day. When Jo came to the party drunk, her legs were stained with blood.

"I think, Toby should pick me up to the Jo's house, I will stay with little Jo. Then, Toby will pick Gabriel up to the hospital. He must be with her. Jayden is going to the hospital right now." - My assistant got into the work.

The men in white clothes examined her and said to transport her to the hospital immediately. I took Jo's car and followed for the ambulance one.

When I started the car the music turned on automatically. Billie Eilish and Khalid "Lonely" was singing. I was really lonely when Jo wasn't in my life or if she felt the pain. I was driving, listening and crying.
