I love the sound of water
Splashing off my shower cap
As I stand in the stream and the steam
Frozen in the heat under the faucet
Too tired to wash my greasy hair
Pruney fingers drum along the wall
I keep my eyes closed, imagine I'm under a waterfall
I scrub off the day's filth from my skin, go into my mind
Forgetting the flesh oubliette
Soaped & soaked
I say my prayers, count my blessings, dwell on my misfortunes & mistakes
A thousand thoughts trickle out
Why do I feel this way?
Is there any way to change it?
A hot spring in the tundra, an oasis in the desert
One moment I'm too saturated, next I'm desiccated, dehydrated
From zenith to nadir
Am I losing it all?
Am I losing at all?
