I wish you the happiest birthday of your life

I wish that each day of your life would be better than the last

I wish I was there with you to celebrate your life

I wish I was there in your future & your past

I hope your birthday wish comes true

I meant for you to see this gift

I wanted to give it to you

But I don't want to widen the rift

By making my feelings so obvious

And divide us by seeming to ingratiate

Though I know you're not oblivious

But still you don't know the extent of it

I'll just wish that you'll know somehow

Too much wishful thinking

I'll just wish I was with you right now
