A nascent love,

Digging in to my dirty skin, germinating within, growing deeper down, pushing up & above

Sprouting from the base of my spine, up to my brain, green and verdurous

This birth becomes murderous, the vines, tangling, strangling

Aches & pains, growing pains, trauma of birth, death, rebirth, kundalini awakening

You usher the sunrise & sunset alike, bring on the rain, the relief, the pain

I scream as it racks my brain, & every cell, like my DNA is unraveling as it uncoils

I scream as it rips apart my seams, my dreams

The shooting star that you are, so far, that I chased after, wished on, crash lands into me

Leaving a crater where my heart should be
