During the day, all my darkness is on display
Night falls and I am camouflaged, a nocturnal creature by nature
I can escape, the darkness drapes around me like a cape
Through the threshold I go, obscured in obsidian oblivion
I can no longer see the scars, only the stars
Despair may disappear, funny how I used to fear the night
Now I find it calls to me, covers me and comforts me
I am sheltered by the shadows, I murmur to my mother the moon, who listens, who glistens
This has become the only time that's really mine
