Can I tell you one more secret?

You once were keeper of my secrets

Well, I'm asking you to reprise that role

You still own my heart, you still know all my secrets

And I can't take them back from you, so why not entrust you with one more?

I might as well

Allow me my penance, let me lay down all my deadly sins before you like a tapestry

And forgive, don't judge, the way I have forgiven all your sins against me

My first sin was taking the fruit you offered me

My second was loving you against the rules

My third was worshipping you, idolatry

My fourth was putting my fate into your hands so faithfully

My fifth was trying to salvage the Eden you built me

As you burnt it down as if by hellfire, while the fires of your own passion faded to embers

Remember?

My sixth was praying for your second coming

My seventh is wanting you to love me again

Will you keep that secret for me?

What will you do with that knowledge in yourself?
