CHAPTER 3 - FASTEST MON ALIVE

DOWNTOWN DISTRICT, PLASMA TOWN

Speed: This is the part where I'm supposed to do the whole intro thingy, Speed Allen, fastest mon alive, but you know all that already, alright let's get to the good stuff

In the downtown section of Plasma Town smoke is rising into the air

Speed: You see that smoke? That's a fire on Western and Third street in downtown Plasma Town, and that blur? That's me on my way to it, I'm going 352 miles an hour, and it's a slow day

2 firetrucks are seen rushing towards the scene

Firechief: "This is ladder 52, we're still at least 2 minutes out"

Mon (Over radio): "People are gonna die"

Chief: "I know"

Just then a blur passes the firetrucks headed towards the building

Trace: "Speed"

Trace is waling around the Cortex holding a tablet which is currently tracking Speed's movements throughout the town via the S.T.A.R. Labs Satellite

Trace: "Speed"

Speed then stops in the middle of the street

Speed: "What? Did I miss it?"

Trace: "You overshot by about six blocks"

Speed then sighs: "My bad"

He then turns back around and runs back six blocks to the burning building

Outside the burning building there is a crowd of mons, one of them is a Braixen who is currently searching the crowd for something

Braixen: "Paige, my daughter, has anyone seen my daughter? Paige?"

Just then a yellow blur passes by her and runs into the burning building

Trace: "You there yet?"

Pearl walks into the Cortex and sees Trace is wearing an earpiece and is staring at the screens

Pearl: "What are you doing?"

Trace then turns off all the screens

Trace: "Nothing"

Pearl: "Who are you talking to?"

Trace: "No mon"

Pearl: "Are you talking to Speed?"

Trace: "Who?"

Pearl: "Speed Allen? Struck by lightning, in a coma for nine months, woke up being able to run faster than the speed of sound? Ring a bell?"

Trace then shakes his head

Trace: "Nope haven't talked to him"

Speed (Over comms): "Trace, there's fire everywhere"

Pearl and Trace turn their heads to where they hear Speed's voice

Speed: "Trace are you still there?"

Pearl then turns her head back towards Trace and gives him a look of disappointment

Back inside the burning building

A little Fennekin then walks out of a room and into the burning hallway and asks: "Mom? Mommy?"

She is covered in ash and Speed notices her through all the fire in the hall and time slows down just in time, as something explodes next to the Fennekin and Speed runs through the fire and grabs the Fennekin and runs her outside the building and goes back inside to grab more mons
