CHAPTER 12 - TAKING ON A BULLY

Speed was staring at the metal dummy from earlier and is about to try and fight it again when...

Trace: "Speed."

Speed then turns around and sees Trace walk into the room holding a tablet in his paw

Trace: "Check it out. The gravel you pulled from Tony's ride? It contains 76.8 percent hematite consistent with the mines at Terra Town Ironworks."

Speed: "Which closed down 10 months ago. It's the perfect hideout."

Pearl then also walks up to him holding a tablet

Pearl: "Speed? Do you mind telling me about this?"

She then turned the tablet around and it was Lazuli's article about him and she just posted something

Speed's facial expression changes to nervous

Pearl: "'I have info about somemon you're looking for. He was here. You know where to find me.' Now who could she be talking to?"

JITTERS

Lazuli was sitting at Jitters after it had closed for the day waiting for the mon, when he appears and Lazuli turns to face him

Lazuli: "I guess you got my message."

SpeedDV: "Are you okay?"

Lazuli: "Rescuer's daughter. I can handle myself."

SpeedDV: "Not with this guy."

Lazuli: "I knew him when we were kids. He didn't want to hurt me. He wanted to impress me. But he is fixated on you and not in a good way."

SpeedDV: "Do you know where he went?"

Lazuli: "Said he had a place in West Terra Town. Bragged about how big it was, but I have no idea where."

SpeedDV: "I do."

He then turns to run but then Lazuli stops him

Lazuli: "Wait. There's something else."

He then turns back towards her

Lazuli: "His hand, it transformed. Like an iron fist. He's like you, isn't he?"

SpeedDV: "Yes, and writing about me is what brought him to you."

Lazuli: "I know but maybe I can talk to him--"

SpeedDV: "No. He's too dangerous."

Then some Rescuers start knocking on the glass door of Jitters and both of the mon see them

Lazuli: "Damn, that's my ride. Spike insisted on a detail. I have to..."

She then looks back where the mon was before but he is now gone: "...go."

WITH SPEED

Speed was currently running to Terra Town and all the team was getting was radio silence from him

Pearl: "Speed, talk to us. What are you doing?"

Trace: "Dude, don't run angry. We don't know how to defeat him yet."

Speed then arrives at his destination, Terra Town Ironworks and walks inside and zooms around looking for Tony and sees a pile of melted metal on the ground that had come from a broken bucket, he then also sees footprints in the metal and follows them and sees an ATM and beer bottles

Speed: "This is definitely the place."

Speed then hears breathing and turns to his right and sees a fist being flung at him and it hits him in the ribs and Tony grabs him
