CHAPTER 21 - THE SOUND

DOWNTOWN PLASMA TOWN, WITH SPEED

Speed: Everymon has a hero, somemon they look up to or admire, somemon they just wish they could be.

There was currently a police chase going on through the downtown section of the town, several Rescuer cars chasing three mon's on motorcycles

Speed: It's easy to believe in heroes. What's hard is when our heroes stop believing in us.

Then suddenly a yellow blur blows by the Rescuer cars, it was Speed in his suit

Pearl: "Oh, Speed, there's an intersection coming up. Hurry."

Trace then clicks a few keys on the computer: "This should slow them down."

Then the light changes to red, the mon's blow through the light and split up

Speed then comes to a stop: "Guys, which way?"

Pearl and Trace: "Left. Right."

Pearl and Trace look at each other: "Right. Left."

Speed: "Stop, you both hear you're telling me two different things, right?"

Wells: "Speed, listen up. Listen carefully here's what you're going to do. Now, Queen is trying to make it to the bridge, but I have a shortcut."

Speed then begins to run and follow Wells' idea

Wells: "And left. Left. Right."

Speed: "I see her."

Wells: "Make her go west before Fremont."

Speed: "Okay, how?"

Wells: "I recommend a detour."

Speed then grabs a whole bunch of barricades and sets them up across the road, and the mon comes to a stop and turns west

Wells: "The King is headed for the interstate."

Speed then hops inside a van and moves it across the road blocking the other mon

Speed: "What entrance?"

He then gets out and runs away

Wells: "Attaboy."

All three mon come to a stop at the intersection and Speed shows up again, takes the keys for the bikes

Speed: "Got the keys!"

He then runs back to S.T.A.R. Labs

CORTEX, S.T.A.R. LABS

Speed runs into the Cortex and Trace is there to meet him first, paw out

Trace: "Give me some."

Speed then gives him a pawfive: "Yo."

Wells: "Efficiently done, Mr. Allen."

Trace: "We need a picture."

Trace then runs off to grab his phone

Speed: "I'm pretty sure rule number one of having a secret identity is not taking pictures in your super suit without a mask on."

Trace returns with his phone: "Oh, come on. Please? This is just for us. Just to document all this."

Wells: "Who knows? Maybe Pokémon in the future will wanna know how all this happened."

Speed: "Alright, if you want the future to have the whole story, we all need to be in it."

Pearl: "First, let me put on some makeup."

Trace: "The future does not care about your makeup."
