CHAPTER 7 - SPEED'S DAY OFF

Speed: What does the fastest mon alive do on his day off? Before the lightning if I wasn't still at the lab, I'd be at home chilling, now my days off are different, but now they aren't so lonely

S.T.A.R. Labs

Speed: The lightning didn't just give me speed it also gave me friends

Speed was playing three different games at once, Operation with Pearl, Ping Pong with Trace, and Chess with Dr Wells

Pearl: "This isn't remotely anatomically correct"

Speed then runs over to her with super speed and plays his turn in Operation: "That's not the point, Dr Snow" then races back over to Trace and continues to play Ping Pong

Pearl: "Then what is the point?"

Speed: "To have fun"

Wells: "And to continue your ongoing training, we're testing the speed of your mind by pushing your ability to multitask"

Speed then races over to Wells and plays his move in chess and hits the buzzer

Speed: "I'm waiting on you, Dr Wells"

He then runs back to Trace and a few moments later

Then Wells hits the buzzer: "Checkmate"

Speed then runs over: "Wait, checkmate?"

Wells: "Checkmate, I guess we still have a few things left to learn, don't we, Mr. Allen?"

Something appears on the screen in the lab and begins to beep, Trace then runs over to it to look

Trace: "Armed robbery at Fourth and Kolins"

Speed then walks over to his suit: "For the record, I crushed it in Operation and Ping-Pong" and then he runs off and Pearl looks back at the game and tries to grab a piece and the buzzer goes off

Pearl: "It's not as easy as it looks"

AT THE ROBBERY

Speed arrives just as the door to the van is broken down by the robbers, he then punches two of the mons and then comes back around to hit the other mon that was standing next to the van, just then the leader steps out of the van only to get hit by Speed, and falls to the ground and takes off his mask, it was a Lucario

One of the mon that got up fired shots at by the security guard that tried to run away and Speed runs over to stop him from bleeding

Speed (To the Team): "Where's the nearest hospital?"

Pearl: "St Andrews, seven blocks north, two east"

Speed: "Call the ER, tell them they have an incoming GSW"

Just then Speed turns and watches the robbers drive away on motorcycles, he then turns around and grabs the mon and rushes him to hospital

A FEW HOURS LATER

PTRD has surrounded the scene with cars and an Alolan Raichu floats up to them

Singh: "I want this locked up all the way to the end of the block"

Alfred and Spike on are scene investigating, Alfred is inside the van checking if anything is missing when Spike walks up to him

Spike: "Tow truck was stolen, the armored car driver is in stable condition, though no one's sure how he got there"

Alfred: "Did you check the security cameras?"

Spike: "Camera storage drive was stolen, mons are pros"
