CHAPTER 10 - PLASTIQUE

Wells: "Lock down the pipeline. Get Bette out of here. I'll take care of Eiling."

Pearl then begins to put things back and Trace runs off, Speed follows

LATER

Wells was in front of the group of mon and Eiling

Eiling: "Alexander Wells. How the mighty have fallen."

Then the mon begin to go around Wells and into the lab to search for Bette

Wells: "General."

Eiling: "S.T.A.R. Labs. This place used to be so important. Tell me, what does one do after such a spectacular, public failure?"

Wells: "One adapts. One evolves. One becomes intent on reversing one's fortune."

Eiling: "Always the idealist."

Wells: "What do you want, Wade?"

Eiling: "Where's my asset?"

Wells: "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Eiling: "We tracked her here, Alexander. Turn her over to me before you see the rest of your precious palace crumble."

Wells: "Wade, Wade, Wade."

Eiling: "We could've changed the world, you and I."

He then walks past Wells and into the lab

FERRIS AIRSTRIP, OWNED BY S.T.A.R. LABS, OUTSIDE PLASMA TOWN

The team has set up shop at the airstrip again and has plenty of things Bette can possibly throw

Bette grabs a frisbee and throws it into the air and it explodes after being in the air for a few seconds

Trace: "427 kpa's. Her trauzl rating is around 45. That's the same as any plastique."

His face then brightens: "Plastique. Ha... first try!"

Pearl then holds up a boomerang: "Didn't really think this one through, did you?"

Speed then walks over to Bette and she notices him

Bette: "Downrange, insurgents started booby trapping cars. The rest of my tour, I was terrified to touch another vehicle. Now, I'm gonna spend the rest of my life terrified to touch another Pokémon."

She then turns to him: "Have they tried to help you?"

Speed: "Yeah, they've helped me learn how to use my powers. Not reverse them."

Bette: "If they could reverse it so you weren't a Meta-Pokémon, would you?"

Speed: "A friend told me I was given my speed for a reason. That I was chosen. I don't know if I believe that, but I always wanted to help Pokémon. Now I can."

Then Speed's phone starts to buzz and he looks at it, it was Alfred calling him

Speed: "Sorry."

Speed then answers: "Hey, Alfred."

Alfred: "I see your little conversation with Lazuli was a rousing success. She just posted another story about the streak."

Speed: "Alfred, I tried. I really tried."

Alfred: "She's got her name on it now, Speed."

Speed: "What? Alfred..."

Alfred: "It's my fault, I shouldn't have asked you to say anything. I just wanted you to know. Okay? Bye."
