CHAPTER 31 - OUT OF TIME

TIMESKIP

PTRD

Trace was showing Alfred the wand, it was on a post in the center of the lobby of the PTRD

Trace: "Keep this handy. It'll protect you from Mardon's powers."

Alfred nodded: "Yes, Trace. I got it."

Trace: "Hey, Alfred. Um, I know you got a lot going on right now but you mentioned Dr. Wells might've had something to do...with Speed's mother's murder. Why did you think that?"

Alfred shrugged: "Doesn't matter. I was wrong."

Trace: "But you seemed really sure of it."

Alfred sighed: "Trace, I can't talk about this right now, okay?"

Alfred walked away, Trace sighed and walked over to the elevator which just opened

Inside was a Typhlosion, Trace bumped into him as he went in and the Typhlosion walked out

As the doors closed, Trace recognized the Typhlosion, it was Mark Mardon, Trace quickly grabbed his phone and called Speed

LOBBY, PTRD

Mark smirked: "I heard you were looking for me."

Alfred looked up and saw the Typhlosion, his eyes widened

Mark: "Here I am."

Alfred: "Mardon."

Mark walked over to the wand: "Hey, Alfred. I can call you Alfred, can't I? Figured we don't gotta be too formal, seeing as you put two bullets in my brother's chest."

Alfred: "Your brother killed my partner and a whole lot of innocent Pokémon and threatened to kill even more."

Mark: "Yeah, Clyde was no saint, but he was family, and if you can't protect your family, the least you can do is avenge them."

Alfred began to walk toward the wand: "This is between us. Nomon else needs to get hurt."

Mark smirked: "But they are gonna get hurt."

Alfred moved to grab the wand, but Mark tossed him back into the department with a blast of wind, which sent Alfred through the doors

Spike's eyes widened: "Alfred!"

Alfred put his paw up: "No!"

Singh floated out of his office

Mark: "I'm not gonna be so easy to put down, Alfred."

Spike reached for his gun on his holster: "Take him down!"

Everymon in the precinct pulled out their guns, Mark began to charge up

Alfred's eyes widened: "No, run!"

Mark then yelled as he unleashed a wave of wind which shattered all the windows inside the precinct

He then put his paw up and began to charge lightning, he then fired it toward Alfred

Singh's eyes widened: "Alfred!"

He then ran, pushed Alfred out of the way and was struck by the lightning, he absorbed some of the lightning but it still sent him flying back into the department wall, he crashed into the back wall unconscious

Then Speed arrived in his red suit, he  grabbed the wand and activated it which sucked away all of the weather particles in the air and took away Mark's powers

Mark then realized he couldn't use his powers anymore and ran off

Spike ran over to the Alolan Raichu who was on the ground
