CHAPTER 33 - ROGUE TIME

CORTEX, S.T.A.R. LABS

Pearl and Wells were at the desk, on the computers, Speed strolled inside the Cortex and gave a heavy sigh

Pearl and Wells turned around and saw Speed

Pearl was confused: "What? No whoosh in?"

Speed: "I needed the walk."

Wells: "What happened?"

Speed sighed: "Uh...Sylvia. Lazuli--"

He then cut himself off and shook his head: "I don't wanna talk about it actually."

Wells and Pearl made eye contact

Wells: "Okay..."

Pearl: "Have you talked to Trace? I've been trying him on his cell, but he's not answering. I'm kind of worried about him. He had a rough night."

Speed smiled: "Trust me. It got better."

Then Speed's phone buzzed, he grabbed it from his mane, looked who was calling him and answered it

Speed: "Hey, Alfred, what's up?"

Alfred: "Yeah, Snart's back."

Speed's eyes widened: "Wait, Cold is back?"

Alfred: "Yeah, he was spotted at the Santini crime family casino. If he's hitting the Santini's, we could be looking at the beginning of a mob war."

Alfred then hung up and Speed sighed

Wells who overheard the phone call spoke: "Well, this day just keeps getting better, doesn't it?"

Speed gave a heavy sigh, put on his suit and ran out of the Cortex

SANTINI CASINO

Speed arrived and noticed all of the Pokémon around, he also noticed a mon who was now turned into pure gold

A table was flipped over, Speed guessed that's where Snart was

Speed also noticed all the mon with guns in the center of the room, all the civilians moved to the sides of the room

He quickly got all of the gunmon out of the immediate area which just left him, Snart and a female Lucario hiding with Snart

Speed: "How many times are we gonna go through this Snart?"

Snart then jumps up from behind the table, aims his gun and Speed: "Until the best mon wins."

Speed ran behind the table, grabbed the female Lucario and her gun, ran back to his old spot but he was holding Lisa and her gun to her head

Speed: "Drop the gun."

Snart put his gun in the air and smirked: "We both know you're not going to do anything to her."

Speed remained silent, Snart introduced Speed to his sister

Snart: "Oh, by the way, meet my baby sister. Lisa, Flash. Flash, Lisa."

Lisa looked at the Jolteon and smirked

Snart: "Trace has been very, very busy."

Speed's eyes widen at the mention of Trace

Snart smirked: "Unless you want me to mail small, frozen pieces of him back to his family I'd take your paws off her."

Speed remained silent for a minute, he then let Lisa go along with her gun

Speed looked Snart dead in the eyes: "Let him go, Snart."

Snart: "I'll think about it."

Snart then walked away, Lisa blew him a kiss before following her brother
