The final battle.

Ydris dismounted Zee. "He will most likely be waiting inside the circus." Ydris said. "Ydris, are you sure about this?" I asked him. "Yes dove, I am."
"Shouldn't we discuss how we will fight him?" Alex suggested. "You're right, I will most likely be locked up in a cage." Anne said. "Well, can't Ydris walk into the circus with Anne? That way Darko won't suspect anything." Linda suggested.
"How will we know when to enter?" I asked. "When the color of the flags turn to pink." Ydris said while pointing to the top of the circus.

"But Darko will be using runes. How can we know he won't take advantage of Ydris?" Lisa asked. "He won't, trust me." I said confidently. "I'm nervous [Y/N]." Anne admitted while looking at me for comfort. I walked up to her and gave her a hug. "You're going to be alright, Ydris will keep you safe. I promise." I said while smiling. She took a deep breath. "You're right."
"Are you two ready?" Linda asked while looking at Ydris and Anne. They both nodded and headed into the circus. It was quiet. Everyone was looking at the flags. Incase they changed colors.

"Maya, I think it's best you stay behind and keep our horse safe." Alex said. She walked up to Maya and kissed her. "I'm going to be alright."
"Do you promise?"
"Maya, I can't promise you that."
They shared a final hug. Which was very short since we heard Lisa shout the colors had changed. All of us ran inside the circus and got ready to fight. Ydris was standing next to Darko and Anne. "Oh. It's the soul riders." Darko said.
"Hm. You have good eyesight." Alex said. "Thank you. You're the bold one am I right?" Darko asked her.
"Maybe I am."
Darko raised a rune he had been holding behind his back. He used the rune's power and Alex's eyes went bloodshot glowing red.

She walked up to Darko, as if she was mind controlled. "Attack."
Alex's hand raised up and she looked me straight in my eyes. Her hand started glowing and I looked at Linda. "[Y/N], JUMP!" Linda shouted at me.
I jumped out of the way as soon as Alex's lightning bolt came in my direction. It left a burning mark on Ydris' circus.

"Carefull with the circus, Darko." Ydris mentioned. "Tsk tsk, I'm the boss. I give the orders." Darko said while waving his finger.

I made eye contact with Anne. Who in return showed a gentle smile. I nodded at her in an attempt to comfort her. Darko reached in his pocket with his free hand. He now was holding up another rune. "Linda, isn't that the music rune?" I whispered at her. She nodded. "Oh. Dear Alex, can you show me who the musical one is?" Darko asked of Alex. And Alex raised her hand again and fired a shot at Lisa. "Thank you." Darko said. "Musical one, join me or die." The words escaped his lips harshly.

"I- I'm not on your side!" Lisa shouted back at him. Another shot was fired at her. Lisa jumped out of the way just in time. She looked at me and Linda. Who were now the only ones on the soulriders side. "I'm sorry [Y/N]."
Lisa walked up to Darko. "Ah, Ydris. Could you please summon an instrument?" He asked of Ydris. Ydris' face showed an annoyed expression. But he didn't have a choice. A purple smoke appeared and Ydris handed Darko the guitar. "LISA NO!" Were the final words Linda spoke as Lisa started playing the tune. Linda fell to the ground, motionless. "LINDA!" Anne cried out.

"Oh shut up blondie. She's alive, she's just knocked out. Besides, I only need you. But the more the merrier." Darko commented. I sighed of relief. But now I was the only one left. Alex was under Darko's control. Lisa was forced to play a tune. And Linda, Linda was knocked out on the ground. With Ydris secretly on our side I was waiting for him to make a move. Ydris, please attack him. It was the sentance that kept repeating in my head. Anne started to break down. She was completely in tears. And I could see the expression on Ydris' face.

Ydris didn't want for this to happen. But he was to scared to do something about it. He looked me in the eyes. And for a moment it felt like the time stood still. With the burning circus, all my friends on the other side. The look in his eyes was all I needed.

I took my rune wand put of my pocket. I raised it and pointed it towards Darko. "Tsk tsk. Stupid little soul rider, do you really think your magic will scare me?"
"Oh, that's because it will."
The tip of the wand lit up and a pink glow was visible around it.  Darko had both of the runes raised. He didn't have a free hand to inflict any harm. But I had to think strategically. There was a chance I could accidentally attack Alex or Lisa.

I made eye contact with Ydris again. This time he looked worried. Which made me worried too. Suddenly Ydris jumped on Darko. Pushing him to the ground. He took the runes out of Darko's hands. And tossed them over to me. Alex and Lisa dropped down on their knees and both of them took a deep breath. Alex looked at me and mouthed the words "Thank you."

Darko suddenly punched Ydris in his face. Making him let go of Darko and dropping on the ground. Darko stood up and held him by his collar.
"Don't kill me." Ydris begged. Darko's eyes were filled with rage. An evil smirk appeared on Darko's face. "Oh."

Important note about the next chapter: For the ending there are two options, there will be a happy ending and a sad ending. (They will be posted at the same time)
