The next day Draco was on his way to the black lake. Draco was going to meet up there with Harry and their friends. He walked through the dungeon corridor.
"Draco!" Pansy called out after him.
"It's Malfoy for you Parkinson! Leave me alone!" Draco started walking faster.
"Draco please! I'm sorry! I really am! It's just... I was jealous. I've been in love with you since we were thirteen. I thought, maybe, if I make it look like Harry is a cheater, you would break up with him and get with me..."
Draco turned around.
Pansy looked at him regretfully.
"I can't just forgive you Parkinson. You know very well how much I love Harry and you wanted to end my relationship with Harry on purpose." Draco sighed. "I don't take your manipulative tricks anymore. If you could leave me alone now, I'm going to be late because of you."
"Draco..."
"I said it's Malfoy for you!" Draco left the corridor. He sighed. This wasn't easy, but he had no choice.
"Hey there you are!" Harry hugged Draco and kissed him on the cheek. "What took so long?"
"Pansy..." Draco sighed. "She tried to apologize, but I'm not just going to forgive her for what she did..."
Hermione smiled at him and hugged him. "Good of you to stand up for yourself Dray."
"Yeah," Ron said. "You have to take care of yourself."
"And you still have us! Right?" Neville said shyly.
Draco smiled. "Yes, and I'm very grateful for that."
"Come on, enough serious talk," Ginny said. "I would like to see what Draco looks like with braids!"
"Yes!" Luna clapped her hands enthusiastically. "I bet it looks great on him!"
Draco blushed and Harry chuckled softly.
"I think so too." Harry said with a wink to Draco.
Draco blushed even more.
Ginny and Luna enthusiastically began creating little braids in Draco's hair while talking to Draco about different types of braiding techniques.
Harry talked to Neville and Hermione and Ron quietly napped with his head in Hermione's lap.
The last weeks of school passed with speed and soon the summer holidays arrived.
Ron and Harry went to the burrow together, and Harry would spend the summer with Ron, since the Dursleys threw him out when they somehow found out that Harry likes boys.
They didn't really care if Harry is gay or not, they didn't accept Harry back in the days either, they just used it as an excuse to throw him out.
Harry didn't mind at all though. He happily stayed away from those Muggles who never accepted him.
Hermione would go home for the first month and then stay with the Weasleys as well, as her parents were going on a long vacation.
Draco would just go home since, according to his mother, his father had stopped drinking. He would probably visit Harry and Ron. He planned to come out to his parents. He doesn't like to keep secret who he really is.
"Are you coming?" Draco said to Harry as he came out of the Gryffindor Common Room with his trunk.
They walked together towards the front door.
"Where are we going?" Harry asked as they headed in the opposite direction to the train station.
"Someone is waiting for us at Hagrid." Draco replied.
Harry was confused for a moment.
Draco knocked on Hagrid's door.
"Ah Harry and Draco, come on in." Hagrid let them in. "Button is all set to go." He gave Draco the cage with Button inside.
When Button saw him, he began to squeak happily and ask for attention.
Draco chuckled. "I'm happy to see you too Button."
"Come on guys, go to the train station, you'll miss the train." Hagrid said.
"Take care Hagrid, we'll see you soon." Harry put his arms around the big half-giant.
"You too Harry, have fun at the Weasleys."
"I'll see you next year Hagrid." Draco hugged him.
"See you next year, Draco."
Harry and Draco went out.
"Goodbye guys." Hagrid waved at them.
"Bye Hagrid." Draco and Harry said at the same time.
"Come on," Draco took Harry's hand.
Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco boarded the train together. The four of them sat down in a compartment.
Ron sat by the window and Hermione sat next to him.
Opposite them, Draco sat by the window with Harry practically on his lap.
Hermione leaned against Ron and read a book, while Ron discussed Quidditch with Harry and Draco.
After a while, Harry began to tire and dropped his head on Draco's shoulder as he listened to their conversation.
"Tired?" Draco asked, putting his arm around Harry.
Harry nodded as he cuddled closer to Draco.
"Sleep a little, my love."
Harry shook his head. "I can sleep later, I don't want to miss you, I won't see you for so long."
"I'll try to come by as soon as possible, okay?" Draco sighed. "Merlin, I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too. I just want you to come with us."
"I would like to come along, but I'd also like to see my parents and I still have something to do, remember?"
Harry sighed softly. "Yeah, maybe we can visit each other after that?"
"Maybe, I'll come by as soon as possible anyway, and we can send letters."
Harry nodded. "Hedwig will go insane about the amount of times I'm going to send her to you with letters."
Draco chuckled. "I'll give her a treat when she gets to me."
