Chapter 30

"Where were you so long!?" Hermione exclaimed in concern as they entered the Common Room.

"Filtch was in the corridor, we had to hide." Harry replied.

"You were lucky mate, McGonagall left a minute ago, if you had been here a few seconds earlier she would have seen you come in." Ron said.

"Looks like we're lucky today, Mrs. Norris almost got us too. I'm going to take a quick shower." Harry went to the bathroom.

He undressed, turned on the shower and stood under the warm water.

When he got back to the Common Room he saw Ron and Hermione sitting next to each other, talking softly, both with rosy cheeks.

Harry smiled. "And how are things here?" He asked.

Ron and Hermione looked at him.

"We were just talking." Ron said blushing deep red.

"I'll leave you two then." Harry said as he went over to Neville.

Neville was working on one of his plants. "Hey Harry." He said when Harry sat down with him.

"Aren't you going to sit with Ron and Hermione?"

"No, those two need some alone time I think." Harry said with a smile as he looked at his best friends.

"Yes, it is about time for something to happen. Those two have been pinning each other for years." Neville said.

Harry nodded.

At ten o'clock Hermione and Ron went to bed.

Neville followed a few minutes later.

Harry stayed in the Common Room.

Around half past ten the Common Room was completely empty, much to Harry's surprise.

Harry sneaked into his dorm. He sat down on his bed. He actually still had quite a long time before he had to go to the astronomy tower. He took the Marauders map. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." He saw Draco pacing through his dorm. He smiled. He saw that Goyle was lying in his bed far from the others. Crabbe was sitting on a bed near where Draco was pacing and Blaise was sitting on a bed a little further. Harry put the map aside. He wasn't actually allowed to look at this, that was a violation of privacy. "Mischief managed." He lay down on his bed and sighed. He checked his alarm clock.

It was a quarter to eleven.

Harry decided to go, he had to get through the corridors without being caught and by the time he reached the astronomy tower it will be almost eleven.

Harry got up, took a sweater for Draco, as usual, took his invisibility cloak and sneaked to the door.

He got into the astronomy tower without any problems. He was a little too early and Draco wasn't there yet. He threw off the cloak and stood by the railing to gaze at the stars.

It was an exceptionally beautiful evening. The stars had never shone so beautifully.

Suddenly Harry felt someone's hands on his shoulders.

He was startled and turned around quickly. He immediately relaxed when he saw it was Draco. "You scared me!" He said.

"I'm sorry." Draco said chuckling. He hugged Harry. "Your hair smells good." He said softly as he pressed his nose into Harry's hair.

"I just showered." Harry said. "I was all sweaty after Quidditch."

Draco looked deep into Harry's eyes. Merlin, his eyes are so beautiful in the moonlight. The green of Harry's eyes contrasted so well with his beautiful skin tone. God, he loves those eyes! Draco's eyes drifted to Harry's beautiful, thin, soft pink lips. He wanted to kiss Harry but he wasn't sure where their boundaries were. Yesterday was their first kiss after all. He wasn't sure if Harry thought they were moving too fast. He slowly leaned in and kissed Harry softly. It was a brief, tentative kiss, not wanting to overstep any boundaries.
