CHAPTER 11
First Day

It took me almost a month to get a job without my name's connection. With only the management where I went for my internship, they were glad to have me. But I wouldn't deny that being a Sandoval is my biggest advantage.

I wanted to do things my own, but my father's surname is well-known in every industry.

Three weeks ago, I moved back home. Although I'm back home, I wasn't always around. Araw-araw akong umaalis upang mag-apply. I also tried applying online, but I know it won't work for me.

"You're ready for the first day?"

I was already in my smart casual attire when we headed to the dining to eat breakfast. This is my first time using a handbag worth hundreds of thousands, so I handled it with so much care.

"What time will you be home later?" mom asked when we were about to finish.

Sandali akong nag-isip bago nahihiyang ngumiti sa kanya. "I'm not sure, mom, but, I think, I'll be home late. As I've heard from them, they're currently working on something like a music festival?" hindi siguradong sambit ko. "They're working on a lot of projects. That's why they hire me even if they're not hiring."

"All right." She nodded. "I won't wait for you since you said you'd be late."

My dad gave me a Mercedes-Benz as a graduation gift. I went to a driving school with my friends before, kaya marunong akong magmaneho.

"Drive safely, and don't skip your meal," huling paalala ni mommy bago ako pumasok ng sedan.

I connected my phone to the Bluetooth of the car before turning left. And finally, leaving home.

It took me fifty minutes to arrived at the basement of the building—where the company I'm working for is located. For the last touch, I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I still looked good, so I only sprayed a mouth freshener on my mouth before going out of my car.

I was alone in the basement, but more people came in when it stopped in the lobby.

On the eleventh floor, I was widely smiling when I stepped out of the elevator. The girl in the reception welcomingly smiled at me.

"I'm the new event assistant of Ms. Love," I informed.

You can go straight inside. Use your ID as a keycard. Turned left, and the first door is the room of Ms. Love."

Using my ID, the tinted glass door opened.

When I saw someone quietly sleeping on one of the couches, I bit my lips. Without further ado, I turned left. I know they're busy, but I didn't think that they're as busiest as this. Hindi na nakauwi at dito na nakatulog. I only wish I shouldn't found myself in that position.
