At a young age, Marshall was forbidden to use his fire by his parents. His flames were devastatingly powerful, despite him being so young. 

But even though he was fine with this new restriction, it only caused his flames to grow hotter and more powerful. As time went on, the heat of his flames started to become unbearable for him, especially when he became angry.

And one day, everything went downhill.

One night, he and his parents were attacked while they were sleeping, awaking with a fright. Since they were caught by surprise, his parents were losing their fight against the attackers. And because Marshall hated seeing his parents struggle, he finally snapped.

That night, he finally released his flames again. And because he held them in for so long, they were stronger than ever.

The flames burned everything and everyone to the ground. The attackers, his home, his parents, and everything that he knew and loved were all destroyed by his own hands. Not even ashes were left behind. There was only destruction, destruction that left nothing behind, not even a single trace of life.

His rage with himself led him to become a wondering killer at a young age, that could never be caught or defeated. He would use his flames to obliterate anyone and anything in his path.

Over time, he began to feel a heavy pain in his chest, feeling guilty from the death of his parents. However, he would always tell himself that it wasn't his fault, but theirs. He believed that they would still be alive if they hadn't forced him to keep his flames hidden from the world.

Years later, he ended up taming and taking two wolf dogs with him that never left his side. They soon became his greatest companions, and he began to love and cherish them very much.  Together, they killed all who opposed them, and lived only for themselves.

But what he didn't know, was that he was being stalked by a mysterious stranger. This stranger eventually challenged him, and easily beat Marshall in a fight.

He became scared of the stranger, as he was the first to ever defeat him. However, instead of killing him, the stranger offered him hospitality and showed him kindness. Though he was still scared, he still accepted the offer.

The stranger brought him home, and soon struck a deal with Marshall. He offered to let him stay with him and would let him kill anyone he wanted, so long as he carried out his dirty work.

Marshall liked the sound of that, but he had his own condition. He would stay and do his dirty deeds, so long as he got to stay with his wolf dogs, refusing to be without them. Just by Marshall's luck, the stranger agreed to those conditions, and they formed their deal.

Marshall stayed, only to fulfill his own wishes, and to remain with his wolf dog companions with a roof over their heads. He began his new life, under the direct tutelage of The Boss.
