Jeno vs Jonah

Jeno and Jonah began their battle just as soon as they arrived at their unfamiliar destination.

Being highly skilled ninjas, they ended up clashing multiple times. But Jeno could tell that Jonah became more angry because he used his Buster Sword against him.

"Hey Jonah. This may not be the best time to ask, but what happened to your Remorse Sword?"

"...What do you think happened? The Boss destroyed it when I tried fighting back after he hurt Jean, Marshall-hyung, Leon, and Daegal. If we hadn't resorted to helping you, I'd still have my sword... But now, I will use this Sword of Contempt to strike you down for good"

Jonah suddenly used his Stand, changing it into a ginormous spear that plummeted toward him.

But Jeno acted fast with his own Stand, punching the spear and causing it to change directions. Jonah proceeded to attack him head on, while also reforming his Stand into a smaller spears that continuously attacked Jeno. But to counter him, he fought back against him while also using his Compress ability to trap High Priestess in a marble, rendering it unable to escape.

Without a Stand to give him an advantage, Jeno was able to use Sticky Fingers without an issue on Jonah. The Stand struck both of Jonah's arms, causing them to unzip as he dropped his sword. Jonah attempted to kick him in the face, but Jeno unzipped his head into two halves to evade the attack. Because he missed, Jeno punched him in the face, which sent him flying a few meters away.

Right when Jonah was getting up, Jeno unzipped his arms and struck both of his ankles, causing them to unzip and make him to fall to his knees. Jeno's face zipped back together, and he sighed upon seeing what he had to do to keep Jonah down.

"I didn't want to resort to using my Stand on you Jonah, but you gave me no choice. Just concede so this can be over already"

Jeno tried reasoning with the latter, pointing his Buster Sword at him.

"You are skilled Jeno... But you're not as cunning as me"

Jonah smirked, looking Jeno right in the eyes to activate his power of Malevolence.

He managed to turn the tables and take control of Jeno when he least expected it, a "J" appearing on his forehead. As he struggled to fight Jonah's power, the zippers that had once afflicted him disappeared and his body returned to normal. Additionally, his Stand was released from its marble prison and returned to his side.

"It's over Jeno. Now that you're under my control, you'll not only give in to your most malevolent desire, you'll also give in to the darkness within you. I think you'll do well now that you're back on our side"

Jonah smirked, waiting for the portal to the resting zone to appear.

However, the portal never came. Jonah had thought that Jeno was now on his side and completely under his control, but he was entirely mistaken.

"...You were right about one thing Jonah. I may not have completely gotten over the darkness within me. But know this. My only malevolent desire in this moment is to make you wake up, by force"

Jeno's words brought fear upon Jonah, but also a bit of happiness, much to his confusion.

They continued their fight, but because Jonah had used his Malevolence on him, Jeno's overall power increased drastically. Frightened by the latter's power, demeanor, and overall darkness, Jeno easily overpowered Jonah.

"Jonah! Wake up and snap out of it already damn it!"

Jeno landed one finishing punch to Jonah's face, knocking him out and hurling him at least a couple kilometers away.

Upon making him lose consciousness, Jeno was immediately freed from Jonah's power. He quickly went to check on him, happy to see that he didn't break his jaw or any other bones.

"Good grief.. You're quite the manipulator Jonah. I had completely forgotten that you had that power, and you used that and my darkness to your advantage. You're really something special"

After complimenting his skills and manipulative techniques, he sat down and laid Jonah's head in his lap, allowing them both to rest at the same time.

In that time, he noticed that Jonah's dark nature isn't as noticeable anymore. It felt a lot lighter and pure that it had from the very first moment he met him. He felt happy realizing this, but he waited patiently for him to wake up just to be sure.

45 Minutes Later

When Jonah finally awoke, he immediately sat upright out of Jeno's lap, only having recollection of the fear he felt before the battle ended.

"Hey, it's alright. Ah jeez... I didn't hit you too hard did I? I'm sorry.."

Jonah was caught off guard by Jeno's suddenly apology, but also felt his heart melt from seeing his smile again after so long.

In that moment, Jonah's mindset returned to how it once was when he was a child: seeing more of the light instead of the darkness within others. Not long after finally seeing the good within Jeno, he was inevitably reduced to tears, overwhelmed by the things he had done.

"Jonah, I know all too well what you're feeling, and I'm here for you. We're all here for you. None of this is your fault, and you were never a bad person. You were just influenced by the wrong people, especially The Boss. But now, you're free to do what you truly think is right"

Jeno hugged Jonah and willingly comforted him, giving him the compassion he had been denied for years.

A portal appeared for them whilst they were having their moment, and Jeno helped him up so that they could proceed forward.

"Jeno... If I'm free to follow my heart, t-then... I want to fight by your side, and protect you and the others"

Despite being afraid of what The Boss would do to him, Jonah chose to team up with Jeno, finally becoming his friend.
