After an unfortunate fight with Sungchan by his side, that led to all of his Pokémon to be put in a near death critical state, but Shotaro was able to mechanize their bodies, saving all of their lives. He invented Pokéballs as well, so that they could be kept inside them. However, if the Pokéballs break, the Pokémon still live and continue to aid him. He can simply make them another ball to give them a place to be
