Diana scowled down at me and breathed furiously. The man across her just smiled at me, not laughing, just smiling. I had fallen on my right side and rolled over on my back to relieve pressure on my arm.

"You alright there, mate?" He asked extending an arm to help me stand.

I pushed myself up waving his hand away. "I should be asking you the same thing." I brushed myself off when I was standing straight. I opened my mouth to speak but Diana quickly silenced me.

"Harry," she caught my attention. I looked at her, "this is Louis."

He looked even better up close. The shine in his eyes was strong enough to give anyone butterflies. I stuck my hand out for a shake. " 'Harry' "

She turned to Louis. "Harry's my, uh-"

"Friend from school," I smiled. I could feel Diana giving me a look that would kill but I paid little attention. Louis. It suits him so perfectly, I felt like I could've guessed it just by looking at him. My hand was still out and it was clearly going to be ignored. I was entranced by everything about him. Hints of irritation rose in his gaze as he started to squint at me, probably wondering what I was still doing there.

Louis gave me a confused awkward smile and cleared his throat. "Nice to meet you, Harold," My knees went weak. "But is it alright if I get a few minutes alone with Diana?"

I brought my hand back to my side and turned to Diana. She had her arms folded and an eyebrow raised. I told her I would be around later if she wanted to go out after her meeting. She smiled and gave a side glance to Louis before inviting me to her place when she's done. I could feel myself turning red and didn't have the courage to turn and see Louis just yet. I coughed lightly and agreed.

I gave her an awkward hug and turned to Louis with an extended hand once again only to be rejected for a second time when I saw his hands were at his hips with no intention of moving from there. My arm shied back and transitioned into a wave. I walked back to my car and decided to head to Ashton's.

Ashton moved here to Holmes Chapel around two and a half years ago from Australia with his mom, brother and sister. He first met my sister, Gemma, in the library where she works and soon after met me. He moved here around the time I graduated from school and while all my friends left to other countries to further their education, I got into working. It got rather lonely until I met Ashton. He was actually with me the night of the hookup with Diana.

He greeted me at the door with an eye roll. "You cunt."

"What?" I laughed. "What's your problem? Let me in."

"You rarely get a day off and the day you do you choose to spend it with the girl," he complained.

I smiled. "I'm here now. I've actually got an update on that 'girl' situation." I know that's exactly what he wanted to hear. Ever since he heard I asked Diana out on a legit date he's been against it. He didn't think it was a good idea to get involved with someone who's just gotten out of a relationship so he loved it when I mentioned what happened with Louis.

"I knew something like this would happen!" He exclaimed. "What do you think they talked about?"

I waved the question away. "That's not the point. I watched them together and didn't get jealous at all. Isn't there something wrong with that?"

Ashton shrugged. "You're not attached to her yet. Its been a few days, mate, you can't expect to be in love with her already."

I leaned back on the side of the bed uncomfortably. We find sitting on his bedroom floor is better than any of the chairs in his house, seeing as they're always broken in some kind of way. I reached to the top of his bed to get a pillow for my bum. "You don't believe in love at first sight?"
