With lockdown rules slowly easing, this International Picnic Day might be just what we all needed after months and months of online interaction only.
Set on June 18th, the International Picnic Day's origin is not really known. However, that doesn't mean the day itself is unknown. Many people across the globe recognize this lovely little event and celebrate it big time!
Actually, "according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the world's largest picnic was held in , Portugal, on June 20, 2009. Over 22,000 people attended this picnic organized by Realizar Impact Marketing and Modelo."
How exactly do you celebrate this unofficial holiday? It's fairly simple! Grab a basket, your favourite food, snacks, perhaps even some bubbles or wine if you're of age, call your ride-or-die group of people, and let's find the perfect picnic place together!
