A woman in her late thirties walks into a small-town police station with no recollection of what happened to her. The odd thing is, she, her husband, and their three-year-old son, were reported missing a year ago to the day. What's even stranger is that their bodies had been found a month later.

If you had to describe your writing self in three words, what would they be?

Creative, Open-minded, and Passionate

For the Ambys, have you revived a story/idea you haven't finished in the past, or have you started a new one to participate?

I started with a fresh idea. I always make it a habit to finish what I started before I move on to my next story.

What comes to you first? The plot or the characters?

The plot.

Who's your favourite character from Before We Were Gone? Would you say you have anything in common with this character?

The lead was kinda messed up so I wouldn't say she's my favorite. One thing I have in common with her is that, when it comes to love, sometimes I go a little crazy (in a very non-destructive, metaphorical way).

If a movie was made based on your story, who would you cast in the leading roles?

Victoria Pedrertti as Emilyn Castillo/Evelyn Dela Vega. I loved her in You.

Which scene from Before We Were Gone was the most challenging for you to write?

The part where she remembered everything. It is basically the story's turning point.

What was the most challenging thing about conveying the suspense?

Building it up until the big reveal and leaving a trail of clues so that the ending would make sense.

What Wattpad story are you currently reading?

Memories of Jeddah by .

What was your favourite childhood book?

Goosebumps, Sweet Valley High, Sherlock Holmes.

If you could tell your younger writer-self anything, what would it be?

Dear younger writer-self, First, never let anybody tell you you're not good enough. Be yourself even if it is hard. Read and read and read a lot. Don't stress about things you can't control. Always choose to be kind, not just to everyone, but to yourself. Lastly, keep writing.

That was all from LMorthor! We thank you again for working with us on this interview and congratulations on the win!
