On this day, we’re challenging you - all of you - to put down your phones, pull out a book and read. Hold it in your hands, feel the paper, smell the pages, plunge yourself into that imaginary world, say hello to those characters (unless they creep you out; if that’s the case then stay put and pretend you didn’t see them) and enjoy that precious moment! Or, you know, you can always read a Wattpad story!

Why are we so eager to get you into reading today? All because it’s National Book Lovers Day! It’s almost like your birthday. So if you’re a book lover, happy birthday to you! Which book would be a perfect gift for you to celebrate this day with? Tell us in the comments!

National Book Lovers Day recognises the origin, history, evolution and, of course, importance of literature. When you imagine it all started with engravings on clay, you must admit we’ve come a long way.

It wouldn’t be us if we missed the perfect opportunity to start a little book chat with you. We’d love to get to know your bookish self a little bit better. And how else to do so than via a set of completely random questions? Please feel free to let us know the answers in the in-line comments and indulge in the conversation(s) with others, if you wish to!
