17-year-old Tristan finds refuge from family abuse in his magical drawings that help him forget about reality.

At least for a little while.

Yet, as time passes, not even his art is that powerful to hide the bruises real life has been leaving on him.

His classmate Desirae, desperate about the situation, decides to do something about it on All Hallows' Eve.

How far is Desirae ready to go to aid the boy she loves?

If you had to describe your writing self in three words, what would they be?

Hmm, now that is a hard one and right off the bat, too! 🏏

I'm going to be a little alliterative just like Harry Potter's Apparition instructor, Wilkie Twycross, who insisted that you need three Ds to perform Apparition well.

Destination, Determination and Deliberation.

Instead of three Ds... I give you three Cs!

Dun dun dun...

🥁

I'd say I'm Creative, Crazy and Capricious!

For the Ambys, have you revived a story/idea you haven't finished in the past, or have you started a new one to participate?

This story was actually written specifically for the Anime Profile, back in October 2020! ❣️

The contest was called "Halloween Night," and I wrote it following this prompt: "It's the night of Halloween and something very strange is happening. You find yourself turning into a supernatural creature!"

I've always loved fae-like creatures and the fae world, from Peter Pan's Tinkerbell to Kaladin's honorspren Syl.

So, I gave it a thought and said to myself: I definitely want my protagonist to turn into a fairy. 🧚🏻‍♀️

Upon checking the eligibility dates for the Ambys2021, I realized this story was eligible and I simply entered it. It wasn't started as a new one to participate in this contest.
