It's been seven months since the heart breaking incidence and Ajay still had not heard from Obinna. She had been using other random men she could get to try get her mind off Obinna. But the pain was still carved deep in her heart. She and Fejiro continued their employer-employee relationship, nothing extra except their greetings were now friendlier.

Zara finally caught Frank cheating for real and called it quits with him. But unlike Ajay, she already occupied her mind with a certain person- Kenny. He had been the male bestfriend she had ever wanted and he was indeed taking things at the pace Zara wanted.

Zara and Ajay went to the mall to do a birthday shoe and bag shopping for Ajay whose twenty-fifth birthday was in about thirty-four hours. Ajay decided to make it very grand for this year. She already hired an event planner who was in charge of the whole party preparation. The birthday was strictly on invitation and Ajay made an extensive guest list and mainly celebrities and few of her friends were invited.

"Ajay, what do you think of this one?" Zara asked, raising a golden coloured stiletto heels, designed with golden coloured glitter stones. Ajay turned around and walked towards Zara to get a better view of the shoe.

"Oh my God! Zara, this is really beautiful!" Ajay smiled

"And it'll fit all the clothes you're wearing tomorrow," Zara added

"You're just using style to play cocky," Ajay rolled her eyes.

"Cocky ko, cocktail ni... Abegi put your leg, let's see wether the shoe will fit or wether we have to start the whole shoe search again."

Ajay hissed snatching the shoe away from Zara's possession. She wore it and when it fit perfectly, she smiled, "I'm definitely taking this one."

They also got a matching purse and a set of expensive earrings before they made to leave.

"Best friend.." Ajay drawled when they got to the exit of the mall and Zara was yet to buy another stuff. "Won't you get me a gift?" Ajay pursed her lips, batting her eyelashes.

Zara laughed, "M-U square! Please how old are you again?" Zara asked with a mock-laced tone.

Ajay hissed, "So you won't buy me any gift?"

"Don't worry, you'll be shocked." That was all she said before she winked and walked off, faster than usual.

"Zara, wait! You putting me in suspense na," Ajay whined, almost running to meet up with Zara but then she was interrupted by her known ringing tone. It was her mum calling. She had not spoken to her mum since Oluchi's wedding, even though she had received several missed calls from her.

"Mama billionaire.." Ajay hailed, all smiles

"Amarachukwunna, so you're now ignoring me, okwa ya?" Her mum asked, obviously annoyed.

"Mummy, calm down now. You know I've been busy...."

"Ehehhh! I can see how busy you are posting naked pictures online on that your Instagram page. How do you expect a man to even marry you?"

Ajay's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, "Jesus Christ! Mummy stop! I didn't snap any naked pictures now."

"Keep telling that to yourself." She mumbled. "Anyways, I just called to tell you that there's this lace wrapper mama Ejike bought from Dubai..." Ajay rolled her eyes, she definitely knew what her mum was up to. It just had to boil down to the fact that Ajay's father had refused to buy the wrapper for her. Ajay walked to her car and sat comfortably in the driver's seat, noticing that Zara had already left her. "....Ada m if you see this wrapper ehh, very classy with stones everywhere, the colour is even a perfect match for my skin colour and......"
