Erin comes back right after lunch just as she said. Mrs.Blanco opens the door for her. Erin expected Grayson to be there but he’s not with his mom. He isn’t also in the living room where Erin sits on the sofa, waiting for her student.
After a couple minutes, Grayson comes out of his room wearing a light blue collared shirt and some nice casual shorts and sandals.
“Wooo— Grayson, did you by any chance drench yourself in perfume?” Mr.Blanco remarks as Grayson walks out of his room.
“I know that you have a crush on Erin here but you don’t have to bathe in perfume to get her attention,” Mr. Blanco makes fun of his boy as his wife gives him the look.
“Dad?!” Grayson protests.
“I’m kidding of course,” Mr.Blanco tries to play it off.
“She’s already in the living room,” Mrs. Blanco tells Grayson in a low voice.
Erin hears everything but pretends not to. She just laughs to herself on the living room sofa.
When Grayson sits down on the sofa, he cannot look Erin directly in her eyes. She notices this.
“So shall we continue?” she asks.
“Let’s,” he answers as he flips open the red binder, still not looking at her.
They study intently the entire afternoon. Their afternoon is quite productive. At the end of the day Erin tells Grayson, “Tomorrow, we’ll start earlier. We still have a lot of topics to run through.”
Grayson agrees.
