THE GROUP WAS sitting on the pool chairs, all skimming through magazines and doing their own thing.

Kendall was reading an issue on hockey, Ella was scribbling down song lyrics, Logan was looking at a future doctors article, Carlos was nose-deep in a magazine about helmets, and James was flipping through a Pop Tiger magazine.

"Hey." James spoke up. "Do you guys want to know Dak Zevon's secret to perfect toast?"

The rest of the group all put down their papers, exclaiming, "No."

"It's all in this month's Pop Tiger." James continued.

Ella quickly turned to him, trying to get her magazine back. "Wh— James! Stop stealing them from my room. Get your own subscription." Even though the magazines were cheesy, they were still her beloved guilty pleasure.

Before James could respond with a comeback, Carlos snatched the magazine from him. "What I want to know is, we've been in L.A. for six months. When are we gonna meet some totally cool and hot celebrity, like Jordin Sparks?" He exclaimed, referring to the front cover which had a picture of the singer.

"Excuse me." Ella widened her eyes, seeing the Jordan Sparks roll a suitcase next to the group. "I'm looking for Mr. Bitters."

The teens all threw their belongings to the side, scrambling to sit up.

As the boys stammered, failing to answer the woman's question, Ella shook her head and shoved them out of her way.

"Ignore them. My name's Ella and Mr. Bitters is at the front desk in the lobby," she pointed at the entrance as Jordin smiled and thanked her, walking away.

Once the boys regained their sanity, they dragged their friend off of her chair and ran into the lobby.

"Jordin, Jordin, Jordin!" The guys exclaimed, shoving Bitters to the floor.

"We just wanted to say welcome to the Palm Woods." Kendall greeted.

"We're Big Time Rush and Ella Reed." Carlos introduced.

"We're recording at Rocque Records." James added.

"What are you doing here?" asked Logan.

"Recording, at Rocque Records." Jordin replied.

"Oh, boy." Ella mumbled, rolling her eyes, as the boys went into violent fits of coughs in disbelief.

The girl gave the woman a tight-lipped smile as she pushed all four boys towards the elevators. "Nice meeting you!" Ella exclaimed as Jordin gave a hesitant smile back.

Walking into the studio for rehearsal, all four boys stopped in their tracks, hearing a familiar voice singing.

Despite Ella's protests to not bother Jordin Sparks, the guys ignored her and ran towards the recording booth as she walked behind them.

The five teens hid underneath the control panel as Jordin sang her song. Ella couldn't help but be mesmerized by the woman's sweet voice, however the song felt somewhat incomplete.

"I've never been in love before, yeah, you got to go easy on me"

The group shot up from behind Gustavo, applauding, as he jumped, falling on the controls.

They gave out compliments, and the woman looked flattered.

"Really? 'Cause I'm not sure I'm feeling it yet." Jordin admitted.
