IT WAS FINALLY the most wonderful time of the year.

Well, it was for many people, just not Ella.

Somehow, it always just seemed to upset her one way or another.

She wasn't a total grinch during Christmas, as she still loved the holiday, but it always reminded the girl of her neglectful parents.

However, this year was different.

She had gotten off the phone with her parents the week before, and Ella was given the best news from them in a while: they were finally coming home for Christmas.

By the time Ella and the boys landed in Minnesota, her parents would already be there, setting up the tree and hanging the stockings by the fireplace.

Let's just say, she was ecstatic about this.

A 10 year old Ella was devastated when she heard that her parents were still stuck on one of their business trips on Christmas Day.

Mrs. Knight tried her absolute hardest to cheer the girl up, and while she was grateful and happy on the outside, she was crushed internally.

Now, at 16 years old, her parents were finally going to be home and for once, she couldn't wait to be in Minnesota during the brutal winter time.

In all her excitement, she had quickly bought all of the Christmas presents for her family and friends which were wrapped and ready back in the crib.

The boys on the other hand procrastinated it until the morning they were supposed to leave.

Being their best friend and support system, Ella downed a cup of coffee and woke up at 5:00 A.M. to help them with their very last minute Christmas shopping.

"Who shops at 5:00 A.M. on Christmas Eve day?" Logan questioned, looking at everyone else waiting on the line outside TK Simmons.

"Us, 'cause we didn't shop for anyone except Gustavo." James answered.

"Oh, yeah, and how well did that work out for you guys?" Ella retorted, wrapped up in Kendall's arms as she slightly shivered in the cold.

"He's gonna love his gift." Carlos exclaimed.

"And for everyone else, we can save up to 70% at TK Simmons last minute shoppers super sale." Kendall stated.

"All our shopping in one location at low, low prices." James added.

"Thanks, boys." Ella replied, sarcastically.

Seeing her friends with guilty expressions on their faces, she quickly changed her tone, "Nope, don't worry. I'm not even upset because this Christmas is gonna be the best one yet, no matter what you bozos get me," she said in reassurance.
