≻───── ⋆✩⋆ ─────≺IT WAS HALLOWEEN here at Palm Woodsylvania, where humans and monsters lived side by side.
Ella Reed and her band of best friends were moved to L.A. to become famous popstars by Dr. Rocquenstein, a mad scientist.
Their group consisted of Franken-Carlos, Logan, who was a zombie, James, a vampire, and the two supposedly normals, Kendall and Ella.
Despite knowing each other for so many years and even being in a relationship now, they've managed to hide it from one another that they were actually werewolves. Unless there was a full moon, they looked completely human, so there was really no harm in lying.
Until tonight, October 31st.
It just happened to be a full moon and Kendall was hiding out in the crib, looking through the blinds of the window, awaiting the inevitable.
"Why do you keep looking out the window?" Mrs. Knight asked her son.
"Just checking how long before..." Kendall turned back to his mom and sister, a worried expression on his face. "You know."
"What's the big deal?" Katie exasperated, throwing a rat into the concoction they were making.
"The big deal is, El's gonna be here soon, but I, sort of, never told her that I'm a werewolf!" He exclaimed in frustration.
The two witches stopped their "cooking" and looked to him in disbelief.
"What?" Mrs. Knight cried out. "It's been years. How have you managed to keep it a secret?"
Kendall scoffed, "The same way I'm going to tonight." He started fake-coughing. "I'll say that I'm sick or that you grounded me."
Katie spoke up, "You do know you're performing tonight at the Halloween Big Night of Fright Party and Ella's going, right?"
With that, Kendall widened his eyes in realization, completely forgetting about that aspect of the night.
"Help me," he stated frantically, making his way towards them. "Use your wand and help me."
Mrs. Knight waved her wand, only to stop abruptly, "Tell Ella the truth. It's way overdue."
"No, because El is a normal, and normals don't usually date snarling hairy dog beasts," he pointed out, showing his hand that had fur starting to grow on it.
"Oh, you forgot smelly and drooling." Katie teased.
Not fond of the jokes at the moment, he exclaimed, "Just poof me up a razor."
However, he wasn't the only werewolf freaking out.
Ella was pacing back and forth in her normal friend Jo's apartment.
"What am I supposed to do? Tonight's the Halloween Big Night of Fright Party and Doc Rocque expects me to be there to support the guys, but it's a full moon!"
"I don't even know why you're hiding it. Aren't they monsters too?" Jo wondered.
Ella groaned, "Yeah. But when I met Kendall, I was too embarrassed to admit it since he's a normal. Plus, not to mention, I'm literally the grossest supernatural being."
"You do realize that Logan has detachable limbs, right?" Jo pointed out.
"Still. Kendall and I just got together. Why would he want to date a snarling hairy dog beast?" She mumbled.
Jo looked at her sympathetically. "Ella, he's going to like you no matter what you are. Just tell the boys the truth."
"I've kept it from them for 11 years and counting. What's an eternity more?" The girl nervously chuckled.
