Now that the girl was more experienced, Gustavo trusted her to record her own demos with studio equipment. She had already worked on the music production with Gustavo, so she wanted to see if the song sounded good with everything together.

Ella stood in the recording booth as the groovy track began to play.

"I know I have good judgement. I know I have good taste. It's funny and it's ironic that only I feel that way. I promise 'em that you're different, and everyone makes mistakes. But just don't." High off being in love and full of new relationship glow, Ella had written this song recently. She had gotten the inspiration after telling Jo and Camille that she and Kendall were back together. Although they were elated for her, they couldn't help but tell her to be careful seeing as what happened last time.

While she was happy being with Kendall again, she couldn't help but have her doubts, painfully aware of her track record with relationships.

There was one that didn't work out in Shakopee, then Kendall cheated on her, Dak used her for posterity then sued her, and now she was back with Kendall again. To put it plainly, she really didn't want to be humiliated by a man anymore.

"Yeah, I know. All I'm asking baby: please, please, please don't prove I'm right," Ella sang out, clapping her hands softly to the beat. "Please, please, please don't bring me to tears when I just did my makeup so nice. Heartbreak is one thing, my egos another. I beg you don't embarrass me like the others, ahhh..please, please, please!"

She really wanted to include slight humor to her hidden insecurities. While Kendall has told her time and time again that things would be different, it didn't hurt to keep expectations low just in case.

However, he had been nothing but a saint this time around. He was constantly surprising her, making her laugh, showering her with gifts, being his considerate self, and just making sure she never doubted her decision to take him back. She was well aware of this being the honeymoon phase, so she really hoped there would be no switch up out of nowhere.

In fact, showing Kendall this song had "casually threatened" him as he so lovingly put it, and he knew to watch out.

"Well I have a fun idea, babe, maybe just stay inside. I know you're craving some fresh air, but the ceiling fan is so nice. And we could live so happily if no one knows that you're with me. I'm just kidding, but really, really, really..."

The public had yet to know the two of them were back together. She didn't doubt that it would be received well considering how much the fans loved them as a couple but she also knew that other fans would criticize them. Therefore, Ella felt as if she could keep him hidden, things wouldn't change and they could be their happy selves.

But, Ella wasn't oblivious to their fame. Anytime now, she knew that paparazzi or any of their fans would catch them on a date and then send the pictures over to E! News. As a result, Rocque Records would have to make a following statement preceding those pictures and everyone would know again.

For now, she was content with the privacy in their relationship.

The note changed at the bridge. Ella closed her eyes, getting lost in the song. "If you wanna go and be stupid, don't do it in front of me. If you don't wanna cry to my music, don't make me hate you prolifically," her voice grew softer at the repetitive pleas at the end of her song.

As the last notes played out and the track ended, she took off her headphones, satisfied to do the demo in one take.

Leaving the booth, she turned off the sound equipment for the day and put everything back where she found it so Gustavo wouldn't kill her.
