ELLA WOKE UP bright and early at 7:00 AM to support her best friend who was about to take the most important test of his soon-to-be started medical career: the MCAT.

Did the girl know that Logan was bound to fail when taking the test at merely 18 years old with only textbook medical knowledge? Yes. Did she warn him several times? Also, yes. Did he blatantly ignore her and insist he needed to get prepared early? Obviously.

After putting in her opinion and having it go unwanted, Ella could only play the role of supportive friend. She chewed on her fingernail as she, Kendall, and Katie nervously watched Logan in focus mode. He was sitting next to Carlos on the couch with many open textbooks on the coffee table as he flipped through the one in front of him.

As Logan quickly scribbled down terms on some flashcards, Carlos spoke up nonchalantly, "I'm going to make a corndog." Attempting to stand up, he was immediately stopped when the genius held out an arm in front of him.

"Don't move," Logan ordered.

The sound of a door opening didn't break anyone out of their concentration.

"Hey," Bitters quickly greeted, walking up to the group, "can you sign my shirt for me that I'm definitely not selling on the web?" Ella turned her head slightly, only to do a double take when Bitters revealed a shirt with her boyfriend on it.

The Knight siblings immediately shushed the hotel manager as Mrs. Knight made her way over, holding a brown paper lunch bag. "Is he ready?" She asked.

Logan tossed his pen away, closed his textbook, and stood up. "Whoo!" He exclaimed, pointing finger guns at the group.

Ella nodded her head, "He's ready," she and Kendall said in unison.

Logan picked up an MCAT study guide, walking towards them. "Today, I take my first medical college admissions test and the first step to being a doctor," he explained.

"Uh, you're supposed to take that test after four years of college, not before you enter college." Bitters pointed out.

Carlos chimed in, "Yes, but..."

Ella sighed as she and the rest of the group restated what Logan has been saying for the past few weeks. "You're never too young to prepare for your future."

"Exactly," Logan smiled. "And once I ace this test, they'll probably tell me to skip college and go right to surgery. Now...things."

Mrs. Knight handed the lunch bag over to him. "Healthy snacks to keep your brain at its peak."

Katie held up a pack of juice boxes. "Four juice boxes with convenient caddy to keep your brain hydrated."

It was Ella's turn now as she held up some of his good luck charms. "Your 'math is cool' pocket case filled with three number two pencils in your favorite shade of yellow." Logan nodded approvingly as she went to go attach it to his front shirt pocket.

"Kendall?" Logan hummed, moving on to the next person.

Not having anything prepared, Kendall sighed, slightly rolling his eyes. "And all of our positive energy." With that, the entire group held out their arms and wiggled their fingers towards the boy, while chanting, "positive energy." Seeing that Bitters gave them all a bewildered look, Ella quickly smacked his shoulder, causing him to hesitantly lift up his arms as well, joining in.

As Logan soaked it all in, he exclaimed, "Okay, I need more positive energy. Where's James?"

The sound of a door open made everyone turn around to see a sullen James walk in. They slowly stopped chanting, starting to lower their arms at the sight of the boy's saddened expression.
